LetZHuRWuTUvDUN is an unknown quantity at this point
Thumbs up wow

When I first had heard about this song, I had read that it was a "joke" song...

So I was thinking it would be some cheap-ass music with funny lyrics.

But then I listened to it and I was like...

This is way too emotional to be a "joke" song.

But I do see why it didn't make the cut in TOD...

Now I wanna hear the other b-sides!!! ~_^

I agree with you also. This song, it just feels like we shouldn't be listening to it. It's a very painful song. But songwriting is one way to help heal our "wounds". It definatly gives me an eerie feeling. I think this song is too personal to be on the album. And releasing it as a B-side gives it it's own place on the album. Seperates it but gives us the opportunity to listen to this beautiful song.

"You held me down and screamed you wanted me to die"

This doesn't sound like rape. Who tells somebody they want them to die while raping them? I think it's about violence, anger, and hate, but not about rape specifically.

I would urge you guys to be careful about interpretation of this song, because as with so many other Ev songs, things could be figurative...or they might not be. But interpretations about whom the song is about, what it means, whether it's literal or figurative, and the opinions of certain individual's characters that might follow from it have the distinct possibility of being very, very wrong. Until somebody who actually knows (i.e. Amy or someone who knows the REAL story) comes forward and explains the situation, nobody else has the potential to accurately interpret this song...and as such we should be very cautious about what we believe about the song. It's fine to say what it means to us, but I think we should be sort of cautious in trying to say what it meant to Amy when she wrote it.

Please don't be mad at me for saying this, but I just felt it needed to be said.

Also, to whoever said the rape interpretations were funny, you've OBVIOUSLY never been raped. Rape's not particularly funny.

Well said SangReal, I agree with it being about violence and hate (not specifically rape).

I know what your saying Melanie as I feel like that too when listening to this song. Though I've been trying to look at it in the way that she's over it now, and that strength that brought her over it has given her the strength to open up about it. I have my thoughts on who/what this song is about but to prevent rumors I shall keep my thoughts tight in my mind

Not only that, but nobody should expect the true meaning behind these lyrics to ever be officially explained. This song sounds so personal that we should all feel free to apply the lyrics to our lives or feel for what the song means to us, but never expect Amy or anyone else involved to discuss it.

I am not necessarily the type of person that lets music consume me. Watching my wife react to this song has struck me damn near speachless.

Crazy isn't it. That such a song can affect a person in such a way.

Amazing song.

I don't even know what else to say... I think a test of how good a song is, is how it affects you. A song that has the power to make someone cry, to leave someone speechless... is just amazing.
