Oceanic, I wasn't accusing you of anything at all. I was simply noting that nobody should take this song, slap an interpretation on it, and for instance, say "SangReal is a sadistic, physically abusive rapist who hates everybody." I would sue you for defaming my character if you said this in earnest and I had the resources to do so, and I would probably win, because there is no evidence that I have ever beaten or raped anyone. If the person or persons who I have supposedly beaten want to claim so in a court of law and brings charges against me, fine. But if not, nobody else should try to cast aspersions on my character. That's all I'm saying.

They don't really want to know what a song is about because they want to interpret it on their own and make their own assumptions about it. Whether they're right or not is a different story. You can tell people til you're blue in the face that they shouldn't assume something based on a song, but no one's gonna listen. (not aimed at you, SangReal..just people in general) |

Regarding what Dream posted, I was thinking about it earlier. I remembered someone said it was done as a joke. Well... it has a very weird sense of humor then. What I mean is that I don't get how you do a song like this as a joke, I'd have thought of something more Lose Control-ish to make a joke.
![]() About the interpretation... I can't help but try to figure out what talks about but of course, we will never know for sure if Amy doesn't say it and I doubt she will. Then again, its part of the magic of every song.

By joke, I dont think she meas that term litterally 'haha' funny. More like they never meant for it to be released, and it was just something she wrote to get it out. I hope you understand what I mean.
Anyways, the song is very emotional and a wonderful ballad. I can see why it wasnt on the album, but I'm VERY greatful we got to hear it as a B-side. *waits for it to be played live* |

If people can relate to the song in whatever way they connect with it, then that's alright too. I believe that that's what Amy's been saying that she wants in the first place--for people to know that they're not alone. Otherwise, this song would never have seen the light of day. |

I played this song four times in a row last night. Can't get enough of it. Easily one of the most affecting and morbidly beautiful songs I've ever heard, and definitely my new favorite Evanescence ballad. I remember reading the Blender interview two and a half years ago and seeing the mention of this song, but I never would've expected it to be this moving. Words cannot describe how much I'd love to hear this live, but I can see why Amy wouldn't want to play it given how personal it is. I still really hope it's played live.

It's indeed a beautiful song. One of the saddest, tho!
I love it ![]()
