I think the same on that, although I haven't listened to it many times yet.

I see it as if the first part came from her (But you held me down and screamed you wanted me to die) and then he responds he'd never really want to hurt her in that way, he likes to see her alive and/but in pain.

I find it tough and touching either way anyway. I love this song so much... It actually moved me to tears

I'm in the same boat I hate not being able to hear it when it's somewhere out there on the internet, though...and I don't like reading other people's judgments before listening to it because it affects my own. Oh well, too late.

Edit: Heh, well now that I've heard it, I thin it's gloriously pretty, and will grow on me more each time I listen to it. My first thought, though, was that it didn't sound like Evanescence at all. Not even the "new" Evanescence. I got a Mariah Carey/Sarah McLaughlan/Kelly Clarkson feel.

This song is insane. Right up there with Like You emotionally.

I don't think you can trust much of what Amy says about stuff like this, period. On interviews and stuff, they acted like best friends, but then there was all that abuse going on in the background when no one was watching. If I was Amy, I would want to keep something like that quiet and ambiguous too, but it's hard when she turns all her worst experiences into songs to be shared with the general public.

Amy's been through a lot of shit, hasn't she? But she's such an angel at heart...

It's just .. Amazing.

I totally admire how much Amy has been able to open up emotionally on this album. She is wearing her feelings on her sleeve and I think it's providing an amazing therapy not only for her, but for us listeners who may have been/are in the same situation. Maybe this didn't make the album cut because of it's emotion. because it was so blunt and personal to Amy that she didn't want it 'published' persay on an album.
