It appears as if you either press really hard when you draw... or you just work on one area at a time. When I first looked at the picture, I could see what you mean about it not looking too good yet... it's a bit too dark and too cartoony. To avoid this you could either use a lighter pencil, or just try and draw lighter yourself. If you can't avoid pressing hard, you might want to try a different thickness in the lead until you find something that will compensate for your pressure. I also think that making your drawings a bit lighter will take away the harshness and make them look more realistic. If you're forced to do pieces of your picture in lighter and lighter shades, as you move into the more general picture you'll notice that it will be much easier for you to go back and adjust certain features so that they go well together. Good luck with the drawing and I hope that bit of advice helps. End. |

numbdeaf&blind and Rach, cheers! Thanks for the comments.
AgentPudge-yeah, I have noticed that I do that. What I do it do a faint outline and then go straight into the features, putting detail into them and just work my way around. I find it hard to do the whole picture first and then work on the details, but I suppose I could try and get myself into it by trying and stuff, if it will benefit me. I work on one area at a time, that's why those are so dark. First I finish the mouth, then move onto the eys or nose or something, because I have to have it right before I can move on, it's in mind mind like, lol. I'll try and make my pics lighter, I guess I like my darkness a lot! Thanks a lot for your advise, best I've had in ages! Cheers! |

Okay here it is, I brought my notebook this time. Should be finishing it tonight
Verse 1 We miss you, we miss you little girl, come back to us, come back into the real world. It'll be okay, you'll find a way, to escape this reticent coma, erase all your pain. Chorus Broken again, I see my reflection a thousand times over, it's just not the same. They've changed. And that's all I have ATM, it's a song that I have a little music to. Hope to do it properly. Thanks for looking! |

I like your poems. Especially Untitled. You really explained those emotions, and it's just very good
