hm, I didn't like Liv's voice either when I first heard it... all I can say is listen to some songs from their latest album "Vinland Saga". I love Liv's lyrics and I love the story behind the album (it's about the discovery of America).

btw, has anyone seen the clippings from the German TV show Giga NBC? Leaves' Eyes were there and you can download it on their official website

Umm, this is a probably a stupid question, but are Leaves' Eyes big in Europe? I ask because Nightwish are pretty unknown here in the States, but huge over in Europe. I was just wondering if it was that same way with Leaves' Eyes.

they are well known but not as popular as Nightwish (which is kind of sad because Liv was part of one of the first female-fronted metal bands).
I guess everyone who's part of the metal/gothic scene knows them (and knows Nightwish) but after that "dark wave" last year I think everyone who watches music TV knows Nightwish... but you barely see Leaves' Eyes on TV

Yeah it is, they deserve more recognition for what she's done with the genre with Theatre of Tragedy, and now with Leave's Eyes. And Leave's Eyes are even better than ToT.

Heeeey guys, there's a possibility that I might see LE in concert!!! They have confirmed several dates for a North American tour with Atrocity and so far they only have dates for the East coast of North America (gah, they'd better not be only stopping there!!). It seems like they're only hitting the majorly huuuge cities, so hopefully my city registers on their tour! I'd DIE if I had the chance!

any how the new album is killer alot better than the first because the songs have more contrast. Unlike theatre of tragedy who eat shit now and any fan of Liv's would not support them since her removal. If you wondering why i say this its because she got her marching orders by the website thats low. Also the direction of leaves eyes is alot better then theatre of tragedys now attempt to become main stream and allthough the later albums are good espically machine and assembly with their awesome hooks (espically image), it annoys me that they removed all elements of their early style. but nough bitching leaves eyes are awesome and i hate you all because i'll never see them live from Australia but here's to hope.
