I think this song is lovely, but it doesn't have the same haunting, emotional kick to it that "Hello" did for me.
This one makes me sad, but that one still has me tearing up. I don't know. The part where she says "sis" kind of distracts me and doesn't really flow all that well. I generally skip this one. Dunno why.

I really wonder if she'll do this one live. I don't know, I can't even imagine belting out a song so emotially raw as this one. I'll be pretty surprised (and probably in tears) if she sings this in concert.

'Did' doesn't make sense here. It's past tense, unlike the rest of the song. Also, 'did' implies that something no longer is the way it was. I don't want to sound mean, but her sister is still dead, that didn't change. I think she finishes 'sis' with 'ter', even if it's a whole line away. I long to be like you, sis lie cold in the ground like you, ter I hope I just made sense. |

I thought Lithium was going to be my favorite song on this album so far, but I've just heard Like You and I'm in awe, hypnotized by the strong lyrics, wiping tears from my eyes. It is a strong song lyrically and vocally and well frankly it rocks. I love this song and I'd love to hear it live but I don't know, Amy might have a tough time with it, who knows. I like the idea that Even In Death is the missing link so to speak as far as songs for her sister goes, was wondering about that after I read the interview. Looks like it's time to do some searching for this girl.
With that said I became creative and made this. -Click-

I loved this song right off the get-go, and now that I know what it is about, I have a better appreciation for it. I think Amy does a wonderful job of taking tragedies and turning them into influences for her art. This song is great.

Pardon me if it's been said and please don't burn me at stake, but I think Amy Lee kind of exploits her sister's death with this song... I just think that it's very obvious that she's singing about the death with this song, not subtle and genuine like in "Hello." And, I could be wrong, but it seems like she wasn't using the song to channel emotions; it seems like she used it to play on the fact that most of her fans probably know that she had a sister that died, and that she could make a hit out of it. It's still a really good, pretty song though, and probably healthy for Amy...
