yeah... i think i heard something in the intro too. i'll have to listen to it again.
her songs are so powerful, but this one in particular shook me up the most.
I cried myself to sleep after listening to it. this song is so powerful!!!

I hear this too. It gives you the mindset of a child, looking at a dead person that they love and thinking, "Please breathe..."

I just started bawling my eyes out.

I can only imagine how Amy felt, just having to sing this
song in the recording studio.
Being able to sing this song staight through...that took so
much courage, and so much strength.

I've owned TOD since it was released, and for the longest time, I didn't make a connection as to what the lyrics meant... I think I got caught up so much in the music that I didn't pay attention or something. Anyway, when I realized what this song was about, it really struck a chord... I lost my younger sister as a child as well, and even though it's been over 20 years, I've been having a really hard time dealing with it lately (I think giving birth to my daughters, and knowing that they would never know her brought back those emotions more than anything).

As sad as it is, I'm glad Amy was able to write this song, because when I'm having a hard time dealing with my loss, I listen to it and it helps me to realize that I'm not alone.
