Yeah, but that's cause you know what you're listening for And probably because it makes more sense...

I have to say, I was just listening to it there and I love the syncopated "Listen, Listen" section at the beginning, and then everyone smoothely come in together for "Listen to each drop of rain". They come in so perfect!

Wow. Thanks Amy. If anyone knew it would be you. Now my high school choir can try to sing it. Those words make perfect sense. Now does anyone have the piano chords?

Annette will become famous soon enough
I'm crazy about choirs. I can listen to them all the time. They are making me shiver. Great harmony of voices - it's always associates me with old chapels and cathedrals. The lyrics is awesome. I wish to listen it live!

^^

Definitely. I've always loved choral stuff for some reason - this song, Russian choirs in a few movie scores, that sort of thing.

As much as I've liked being a pianist over the past 10ish years, there just isn't much that can contend with the hauntingly beautiful, powerful sound from a well-done choral or symphonic bit (or both together ).

I spent weeks of my grade twelve year trying to transcribe it for the choir I accompanied, but I was so busy that it never happened. My teacher had even agreed to do it if I could produce a score for him.

Then, of course, just a couple months ago I happened by a fairly accurate transcription. Wanted to shoot something.

I always thought that it should be sold as sheet music so stupid people like me don't have to tear their hair out trying to figure out all the notes

However, hearing it re-recorded would be just as awesome. Maybe both? (Though I don't have a choir to manipulate anymore...)

I could understand what you mean, i would go nuts if that happened to me. I really like this song though and next year i'm going to go insane to find sheet music then see if i can get the choir teacher to let us sing it

Maybe a professional choir? or Libera? heh, just kidding, but how nice would that sound? Anyway, it would be a nice revival if you guys do, or actually, any revivals from the old days would be awesome for us (everyone, I mean.)
