Literary Poems
Most of my poems are adaptations of other stories.
Hamlet Drink not my dark poison, the words that I say; They are wolves in sheep skin to lead you astray. Believe not "Doubt not that I always love thee", For tis not I who speaks; but, demons in me. My heart is now Rome, for this demon to sack; And I fear it will see you; primed to attack. It will pillage your soul, asunder your mind; Not a shard of soul left for which one can find. You will drown without water, without a breath; For it is your mind that will meet the first Death. Your body a shell, this ghoul's stronghold, Will "fall" to second Death, or so they'll be told. Me, mind a prison, barless, without hope. You, second notch in the noose of my rope. So drink not the daggers I speak over you, Keep your soul safe, your body, mind, too. Ophelia My spirit untouched, as clear as the air, Like Diana, exalted, soft is my flair. My lover I loved, "Doubt not I love thee" Said he to me; His love, his holy decree. "Daughter," said father, "Curst be his lies, For which demon's live for; Lord of the flies." Obeyed I could not those words of no worth; Pity, I was blinded by phantoms and mirth. A siren, I was, that lured him to me, And drew out a demon to break chastity. It slew my father, in a blind rage. Forced was I to witness this beast in this mage. Its eye to my eye, forced was I to face The demon take me by force, by mace. This tiger, beast, which tainted my flowers, Takes me to the edge, where I witness its powers. Thrown like a rose in the rainwater below Matters not to me; I died long ago.

Wow, i appreciate your poems... i think that it's hard to get to the point and maintain a consistant flow whilst using that language
I love the first stanza of 'Hamlet' as it creatively opens up the story and the last 2 lines in 'Ophelia' are beautiful, i love them! |
