Local "Celebrities..."
Every town has those interesting people that everyone recognizes... they become almost landmarks. People like that are always fun to hear about.
Let's see, in my town we have: The Jogger- A cheerful homeless man who lives in the woods. He jogs all over, even on the highways, all day. He never talks to anyone except my cousin and me. The Biker- An old lady who actually looks more like a man. She rides her bike everywhere even though she looks like she's 105. 7-11 Man- There's this guy who always walks around during the day, and every night at 3 a.m. he goes into a 7-11 and says "I've walked here from the Rocky Mountains, could you spare me some coffee?" Somehow, he always gets his coffee... So who's the most interesting character in your neighborhood? |

There's a dude that walks around here. We call him Zero (I've called him that since I knew him and can't remember his real name.) But he can't walk right at all, but he always seem to make money. He collects cans and everything from people and participates in a lot of fund raisers. I find him very amazing. You may not, but you'd just have to spend a day with him.
The Hitchhiker: There's a guy down here that is so desperate to get a ride, he literally jumps on cars and tries to get in them. He's got a mental problem as well, but it's still scary. The drugdealer: There was a drugdealer some of you may have seen on America's Most Wanted. He was born and lived in the town next to mine. He was caught in Mexico not too long ago, but his wife still lives down here making drugs. lol Last edited by numb_tothe_core : 06-21-2006 at 06:17 PM. |

We have this guy who jogs on my street and wears chains. He doesn't wear a shirt, but chains. We call him the chain man.
We also used to have a jogger who jogged up and down my street twice a day, he did so for as long as I can remember. He was killed by a reckless 17 year old driver last year though, jogging down the road.

There's this guy who I fondly call wheelchair/scooter man. He's this old guy who rolls himself up and down the road at the back of my school. Every single day, rolling up and down using only one leg. I think that after more than 6 years of doing that his leg must be really strong *visualises him crushing a brick with leg* Ha ha that looked really weird.

Um, we've got Reggie. He's this old dude who walks around the town, drinking all day. He's a painter, or was. And he used to be a boxer. He was really good at both of them, painting and fighting. They wouldn't serve him in the pub for a while, becuase he was painting it. When my friend was new to the town, I convinced her he was my grandfather. lmao. Along with...
Coliln. He's not as old as Reggie, but really annoying. He talks about the weather all the time. He used to go out with the Jehovah's Witnesses, on their rounds. But after a while they stopped taking him. They made him sit in the car for a while, then just didn't take him. lol. I'll be back later with more.

Click Click.
He's a photographer. He never seems to get any older. I remember him from when I was little, then when I went to school, and he's still taking pics. He wears a rainbow colored hat like Gilligan and he rides a bike. He has his own studio, but he also takes photos for the news paper and stuff I think. Very nice guy, but why doesn't he get a car??? LOL.

![]() We have a little old lady in town that has one of those scooter chairs. She's hilarious. I've never seen one of those move so fast, she books right through the shopping center with her butterfly sticker on the back of the seat, and the orange flag waving in the wind. She'll soar by you with a smile on her face and say "hellllooooooooo!" almost every day. She cracks me up ![]() In Wisconsin, we had the crazy old lady that you could call and have an entire conversation with and she would have no idea who you were, but she'd talk to you about her cows, chickens and husbands anyway. (Yes, husbands plural) She would walk to the grocery store and sit there until someone offered to drive her home. Then she'd walk right back up there. One day, she was sitting on her front porch with a rifle in her hands saying if anyone left the school, she'd shoot 'em. She was convinced the students would come and steal her chickens.
