Oh, wow! I heard about this earlier, but this is great!

A chance to sort out the absurd traffic problems London has!

But I LOVE the Olympics, and I think London will be a cool place to have them. London is an awesome city, I've not really seen much of it though, I've been to central London once in my life, I think.

There were some military officers in the elevator with me today, saying that London shouldn't have gotten it because the food is terrible. They said it's very bland. I'd starve over there, so i guess I won't be going.

common misconception. london is huge and multi-cultural, therefore will have restaurants with foods from all over the world. and anyways, whats wrong with chips?

im glad its in london, the city will get a revamp, and hopefully a few of my friends will be taking part in the British Team, so i can go down and cheer them on, if im still on this island in 2012.

one of the guys on the elevator did say "what is it, all fish and chips?"

There's not anything on earth i love more than fish. Fish happens to be my favorite food and if chips is french fries, then that's my second favorite food! i find it hard to believe that an entire city can screw up fish. I guess i'd have to make sure the restaurant puts enough seasoning in it when i order it. Now I'm hungry again...

You don't get fish and chips from a restaurant y'get them from a chip shop, without seasoning, and not french fries either, proper chippie chips, fat ones only posh people have fish and chips in a restaurant, hahaha!!

Broken_toy is right. London is one of the most multi-cultured cities in the world. There are so many different kinds of international restaurants its unbelieveable.

People won't starve over here. I'm willing to bet a lot of misconceptions about the UK are about to come undone at the 2012 Olympics (thank god)...

Livo is on a distinguished road
I have a strong feeling that if London does sort out its horrendous traffic issues, they'll only be successful for the duration of the Olympics. Sydney's traffic during the 2000 Games was extremely well-managed, with good traffic flow and little congestion. What happened after the Games? All of the policies implemented were reversed and quickly returned to normal
