London to host the 2012 Olympic Games
After a couple of years, the most hyped Olympic bid in recent memory is over.
London will host the 2012 Olympic Games. London was considered one of the two favorites. It came down to five of the biggest cities in the world: London, Paris, New York, Moscow and Madrid. Congratulations London for winning the 2012 Olympics...I think the thing that may have clinched it for London was the way they handled Live 8's event.

All I can say is
WOOHOO!!! no one in NYC actually wanted the Olympics here. Only the mayor apparently, who would not actually be living IN the city 7 years from now. Such a relief. There is no room here for an Olympics, and I am glad the IOC realized that!

I am so glad that London got it and not Paris... London can pull this off with style and elegance where as some people in France would have used this as an avenue to protest.

I thought Paris was gonna win it, got quite a surprise hearing the result. I found it quite funny how Singapore got the chance to pimp ourselves to the world with the video clip just before the announcement of the results.

No different that it is in France or London...the protestors go where the event is. they come from all over the world...to wherever they need to go. but yeah, glad it is in London. This is the 3rd time in a row Paris' bid has been rejected.

I'm glad that it's gonna be in London. I like England more than France, London is awesome place. So, I rather go to London than Paris... I love London.
