Yup. The more rep you have, the more it's worth when you rep other people.

There are other factors that go into it though, based on your usergroup, how long you've been a member, etc. If I remember correctly, Paid Subscribers have a higher rep power than regular members.

I don't think you do. It's based on how many points you have, but if you keep track of who repped you and how many points you gained from each, you probably could figure out how much power certain levels have.

Mods and Smurfs (Paid Subscribers) tend to have more power in repping than normal members, I noticed. But that's all the help I can give ya.

You don't. People spend too much time comparing themselves to one another based on useless metrics on this board as it is. Why would we want to give them another thing to compare?

You used to be able to tell by looking at someone's points (when we had the store) before and after you repped them. The difference was your rep power, and half of that difference was your negrep power. Now only mods can look to see what it is. But don't bug us about it. As Diamon said, it's really just not important.

Ok so what if you don't have enough time to post quality replies and fabulous threads? I work alot and I'm lucky if my eyes aren 't drooping by 8 o 'clock at night let alone to come up with something wity and funny enough to earn some points on here.

So if everyone starts off at the same level, which must have happened when ToB reset everything, wouldn't everyone be going around giving grey rep boxes because nobody had a rep higher than anyone elses?

I mean... does someone start off with higher reps in order to spread it to a few people, who in turn spread it a bit? And therefore there's like a heirarchy of a few people who get some rep at the start or something?

I wondered that since the reset of the rep.
