A white dog loomed in the air
From nowhere and disappeared there!
It had to catch blue cat
With eyes that seemed be red!

I’ve heard a lullaby and seen a maple singing
And there was a billion bluebells ringing!
My feet were wind around by the voice
That came from inside of the heavens eyes!

I was following the path till small gate!
I didn’t understand it was too late
For walking by myself in this dark wood!
And it was so scary when I had understood!

When I had frozen and was afraid to turn around…
And in the moment forest had died down!
My Goddess! If I could just turn back time
To make me look in other side!

I still don’t know
May be that was just a nightmare!

Insipid sky won't tell it to anyone
Beautiful lie won't help you to cry!
How many souls do we need to survive?
How many oceans of tears can we hide?!

Think about yourself...

Noone hears. Noone nears. Noone bleeds
but you dreaming disgusting dreams!
It's true - we're coming and leaving alone
so we have no time to be lost!

Think about yourself...

The only person who can cross you is you!
The only person really stragles you is you!
It's not important if you're not "the cool"
Because the one you have to be is you!

Think about yourself!!!

hey i really liked 'Think about yourself'... the ryhming and wording all fitted in to create a nice flow!!!!

Claudine and FelicityS thank you a lot for your words! It is so important when there are people who understand you somehow! I'm not really sure in my english poetry but I love it... and I really try to make a feeling of a dream usually! I'm very glad you like it!

Do you remember that Land?
It’s not a desert, not a sand!
Go and find the empty town – nuclear ghost!
There’s no soul in Chernobyl – it is lost!

It’s lost in time of human tears and fears!
It cries with broken windows, with toys it screams!
And you can find here 20-old cookie
Lying on the floor and filled with “nuclear”!

These virgin fields and shiny river
Unseeing trees with life – Oh! this is weird –
This perfect land lives on its own
But hiding empty town of stone.

I’m captiveted seeing streets without motion
And abendoned Taddy-bear – it's lost emotion!
Will you believe me, if I say – I love it!
Because this toy is pain....
... of million people...
... of my heart....

I can't hold my tears while thinking of all that people beeing taken to different places, never come back home, of sick children... of how stupid that situation was...
and the worst is that all of that is not somewhere, but here by myside, my family, my friends, my city... and a lot of people want to forget about this, so they just close their eyes to these problems!
IT'S AWEFUL!

I want everybody to know and to understand that there are a lot of people suffering of Chernobyl tragedy even after 20 years!!!!

A very touching tribute to your country's past, Svetlana. I think anyone outside the Ukraine would have a hard time understanding just how bad the situation was. I liked how you included things like a cookie and a teddy bear... It shows that even the kids were affected so much by the nuclear blast.

*thinks this is deserving of reppage*

Your music is great! You have a great voice and I don't think I've ever heard music like yours! I'm in a band too, but I've only been in it for about a month and our name is still being decided. People make a lot of technocratic bad things... so we have to study on such days as Chernobyl accident was!

You know, there are people in the zone who hadn't move, they say they just can't leave their land, and also they say that evacuated people are dying mostly of melancholy not only of deseases. A lot of families were broken... The culture of that region is distroyed... Sad! It's so sad! And influence of that event is not only in Ukraine!

2elixmmia: Thank you so-so-so much for comment for the music! I hope I can here your band someday!

If my sore throat goes away and I finish writing music for my song I might get it out there! And I may need to get a new guitarist... but your music is very inspiring and so is your poetry!
