I really like this film. I wish i could've read the book before it came out though, then I would've understood it better. But after watching it a few times it makes a little more sense and it gets so much more beautiful.

The actors/actresses in it were amazing. I don't see why there is a big fuss over Chinese actors playing Japanese characters, if they played the part good then thats all that matters.

I need to get the movie back from my aunt...and to buy the book. I've also been complimented on how much I look like Chiyo/Sayuri. My friends call me Chiyo now hehe.

This movie was one of the best of 2005.

I love this movie, it's like in my top ten movies, I like the story, the actors, the drama!

, and the beauty of the world of the geishas, I recently have an obssesion with this movie 'cause I've seen it like all the evenings all the week!!

I would love to read the book but I'm too lazy and I've a lot of homework this last week

I watched my friends copy of this film this morning, and by this afternoon I'd finally gotten my hands on my own nice fresh DVD!!

I don't know how I survived without it for so long, I really don't!!!

What a beautiful film. I'm in love!

And yeah, me, me!!! She's gorgeous. Gong Li, and she turns 41 this December

I really had a lot of sympathy for Hatsumomo, her character's just so... sad, she's denied her love and the restrictions of her life were just too much. I think all her anger just comes from not being able to do her own thing and therefore never gets the life she wants, and it's sad but really cool to watch Gong Li portray such a complex character. Since she's supposed to be evil and everything, but she's not really evil. Hmm. Yeah, Hatsumomo is my favourite character
