I'm glad I didn't really go trek-ing after Aug.04. And the main reason for going to LR that year was to meet all the people I met on Evboard. Not to mention BB, Seether, and 3 days Grace were also there. It was a great experience but, not something I'd do again.

And I guess that's a good thing, because with severe Tinnitus its best to stay away from the loud noises, and I certainly cannot justify spending 60$ or whatever to see one or two songs performed by "EV"...

Oh please. I don't believe that John was fired on a passing fancy. Amy fired him for a good reason. And personally; I thought he was a mediocre guitarist. From Amy's statement I almost get the vibe that she wanted change, she wanted a better musician. John might have been holding them back.

Bands are a business, and you can't make money if you're being weighed down. I think, if Amy fired John for sucking, then that's good enough for me. I think John is being dishonest about it.

I stand by Amy 110%.

... being materialistic much? and john isn't the only one who could've been dishonest. Amy is no saint. Further, if music written by Amy and Terry isn't doing well, aren't they at fault?

I know that artisically, I'm sure Machina will be much more satisfying for John. However, I know that if I count on my job to pay bills, and if SURPRISE!!!!--it was gone, I would be scrambling, not to mention be pissed after many years of loyalty etc. Amy has called Evanescence her band and ToD "her album", so she is the boss and John was an employee. And losing a job sucks, whether it McDonalds, an executive position or musician

In my eye, I'm not doing the "I Hate Amy" thing, and I can separate her peronality from her beautiful voice. Still love the voice, but definitely quetion her motives. And her voice will always be beautiful, but her music will never be same as it was when Evanescence was whole (and one could argue--real)

Umm.... what now? You are going by Amy's statement?? That statement was total and utter bullshit! John and Rocky decided to go seperate ways huh? How could you get anything from Amy's statement rather than that great lie??
And what is the good reason that she fired him for?

And John's "mediocher" guitar playing is the reason why Evanescence is where it is today. Do you remember when Evanescence came out in 2003? HUGE! Amy, Ben, John, Rocky, and Will. Now its Amy - John, Ben, Rocky, and Will. Do you notice anything here? Let's sluff off everyone who helped me get to where I am today.

How could you get anything from Amy's statement rather than that great lie??

I would like to add you are a music exec in the making, there. Maybe in about 10 years you too can take part in the business of blindsighting unsuspecting souls and unraveling peoples hopes & dreams in the name of a business decision. Way to fuckin' go!
