I got into ev because of Amy, and their got to be some reason why he was Fired. So Shit Happens

So what's the reason for her lying about it? Amy didn't even mentioned her firing John in her statement.

I don't know and don't care it her decision, hopefully band continue things change.

"Evanescence is alive and well. John and Rocky were in Evanescence for four years and we shared some great times together playing live, but they were ready to move on and so we have parted ways. Evanescence is something I have loved and nurtured since I was fourteen, and I will continue to protect and fight for it as I always have. Terry, Tim and I are very excited to play live with some amazing new musicians and we will rock harder than ever. Stay tuned for more news on that front. And don't worry about the tour, guys. Nothing will be cancelled and we will see you soon!"

That's standard label bullshit. I'd bet a moderate sum of money that none of that even passed before Amy's eyes, much less came from her mouth.

I'm guessing the only time this'll get brought up in the future is when she's being interviewed, and even then it'll be something like 'John was hurting the band and had to be let go', which, hey, does that sound familiar? Or even some more 'I'm-an-angel' bullshit.

Whatever. Anyone who thinks there's actually gonna be an Amy side to this story is severely delusional. And anyone who chooses to stand by her regardless is just really, really sad.

Problem is all Amy has to do is say *nothing* and she gets a free pass because people haven't heard her side. By that logic anyone who is on trial and pleads the 5th amendment should automatically be acquitted because we haven't heard their side.

And does anyone who is in the "wait and hear Amy's side, she has to tell us something" camp believe this will be any different than when Ben left? Fans were left in the dark then and when Amy did finally say something (through magazine interviews) it was a lie, or at least very misleading. Don't any of you remember how Ben supposed just walked out on the band with no notice, only to find out later that he had already spent the time to go through and teach John his guitar parts so John could take over when he left?

I don't always have to listen to any side. How many band members have parted ways with Evanescence one way or another? Let's count...1..2...3...4...5. Who is the link between the FIVE? Amy Lee. All but MAYBE one have had problems with her. I don't need to hear the same story TEN times. I mean that literally. 2x5 is ten. The story is the same everytime. "Oh poor me I've been victimized by these terrible, terrible men! Oh they are drunks with drug problems! Let me say I'm mature and continue to harp on them and their bad habits because I'm oh so perfect. Oh hey maybe I'll blast them in public and make money off of my self induced pain. Or maybe I can publicize their drug problems and mental status rather than my own drug problem."

I call bullshit.


Amy is so incredibly lucky someone doesn't put her in her place.
