Wow, that's really cool that David is sticking up for Amy. His post on the Trading Yesterday board was mature, and helped me remember that Amy is a human (for awhile there I thought she was all Leebot lol).

Considering we just found out from Rocky that according to the band's management he wasn't even allowed to say that he quit the band. Do you really think that if there's more to the story behind Will leaving than just to be with his family that he'd have been allowed to make any statements about it?

David sounds like a very good, kindhearted, forgiving person but all that aside unless he has been with Amy on the road touring heavily like the guys had been he doesn't know everything that happened. He is basically dismissing the guys as hired monkeys who got paid better than they should of if you read between the lines. So NOT ok, regardless of how mature his comments were. The way I see it is that beautiful person he knew when they made Fallen is not the same Amy Lee now. NOBODY"S perfect, that is the one thing I will agree with in his statement.

There are going to be alot of people that continue to stand by Amy no matter her decisions, and that is fine.That is their personal choice.

I am just happy to count myself in the camp that believes people should be accountable for their actions despite fame, fortune and good publicists who easily put spins on situations.

No offense to david, i'm glad he's made such peace but the things i've seen Amy do and the numerous times I've what she's said about people (things that have not been made public, which is lucky on her part) don't make me so quick to believe she's any type of innovative, talented "artist".

I don't care what you do or do not think about Amy Lee, quite honestly I could give two shits less if John beat the shit out of her and that's why she fired him; I don't like her from what I know of her. Deal with it.

I think a few of you presented some good arguments about David's take on this. He hasn't been in the band for a while. He was the first to leave. And in some ways he probably feels more responsibility for Fallen's success and feels like Rocky and John are just "hired monkeys". However, they went on tour, they kept it together when they needed to, they were away from their families, and for purposes of PR and media, they were part of the band. He wasn't. And I don't mean to be vicious, but his opinion may have been valid 4.5 years ago, but it's certainly no valid now, in this situation, and you can't judge someone's character based on who they were "a long time ago".

Someone also mentioned that Ben still "supports" the band. From what I recall in past interviews I've read, Ben usually says that he "wishes Ev well" or something to that effect. He's also said that he's tried to mend things up with Amy who'se refused to return calls... that was a while ago, but chances are that nothing's changed. And while we're on the topic of Ben. Ben hasn't spoken negatively about Amy to the press since 04. However, while all that BS was going down with Amy and her manager (who was still managing Ben's career)... somehow something about Ben got slipped in there. That annoyed me. It's like kicking a dead horse, there simply is no point.

Amy Lee talentless - No. I think she's got an amazing voice and that is part of what drew me into Evanescence. Though I can't say much for The Open Door - I think her talent can shine when under the right producer or party (i.e. with Ben Moody. The pair create a synergistic effect. Amy Lee alone is not as awe-inspiring when combined with his smarts). But I don't think AT ALL that she is talentless.

I cannot hate someone simply from what I heard or seen. Yes she maybe a bitch but I don't 'not like' her for that. Hate is a strong word, and I don't know her personally so I can't judge her.

But meh, its your opinion and I respect that.

Anyway, John I'm sorry to see your removal of the band so soon. At least it will give you some extra time with the new baby, even if you have to look at new job opportunites at the same time. I wish you the best of luck with Machina (which I will be checking out now) and all other future endeavours.

The talk of former members that made up Evanescence getting together minus Amy Lee reminds of what happened to Creed (on similar ground as well).

Hard to get the second side when the other side doesn't deem others fit enough (from John's post, this includes the other party) to be told.
