Mirrors [Movie]

I just got back from seeing "Mirrors". Very, very good!

If you read a professional reviewer's column about this movie and it's not good, ignore it and see for yourself. You'll either like or hate the ending, but the time it takes for the movie to get there is very suspenseful, full of shocks and an creepy visuals. I counted two minor holes in the plot (regarding the monastery scenes), but that does not spoil the overall movie.

The mirrors are very creepy and everywhere. You'll be wanting to smash your rear view mirror in the car when you're leaving the theater...

I give this movie an A- overall. Probably the only big, decent thriller to have come out this summer. I will be going back or seeing it again when it comes out on DVD.

In short... go see "Mirrors" sometime soon. I liked the opening credits, too.

One of my friends just saw this movie, and said it was freaky
as all hell.
That just makes it the more better for me, I love movies like this
*True horror movies*
I am planning on seeing it, sometime next week when I have the time.
I'm going to be going with my gf, and she absolutely gets right freaked
ou by these kinds of movies, so I guess she'll be hiding her eyes through
out the entire thing. *Laughs*

A reply already? Cool. I tried to post about "Mirrors" on another forum, and that thread has yet to be replied upon.

The users on rotten tomoatoes so far have averaged a 69 or 70% fresh rating. Yahoo users are around a B range.

The movie budget was only $35 million. The theater was not devoid of people when I went, so maybe this movie will stick around and earn a profit.

Considering all the special effects, I figuared it would have been aroun
30-40 million.
I really hope this movie does earn what it deserves, and hopefully will
get an awesome rating!
I am definitely going to go see it, I just LOVE horror movies, its the thrill
and excitement, and that rush it gives off......its awesome!

This is the most-appreciated horror film I've seen in quite awhile. From the previews, I didn't expect it to be that good, but it exceeded my expectations. That rarely happens with movies for me, especially "scary" ones. Let me just say I think I'm scarred for life from the "bathtub" scene. If any part of a horror film is able to make me feel that way, then I say it's a job well done. 0_o

^^^Just you saying that Steph, I am sure its going to be one I am
really going to love!
And probably jump out of my seat!!
Those are the ones I LOVE the best.

I am going to see it either Monday night, or sometime in the begining
of this new week.

Heh, I know the feeling. I don't know what was scarier. The girl's death or when they were draining the reflective, bloody water to reveal her body. Glad you enjoyed.

Me neither! But it's still messing with my head... *shudders*

I don't know how this movie is doing so horribly on Rotten Tomatoes (15%, yikes), especially these days when decent horror films are extremely hard to come by, but that just sucks.

I was gonna go see this, but my cousin wanted to see The Mummy 3 instead. This would've been better.

OMG PEOPLE THIS MOVIE SUCKED!

Than again you are talking to someone who thinks movies like SAW are kick ass. Only two people died in this movie. Although I have to admit that the one death was very original and I have never seen anything like that before. Also you got to see Amy Smart's BUTT and she is HOT!

All in all I'd say that this movie was a 3 out of 10 for me. I wouldn't see it again unless my sister REALLY wanted to see it but I told her it sucked and she said that she would see it on her own time and I don't have to watch it again.
