OMGOMGOMG this thread ROCKS! I LOOOOOOOOVE Monty Python! haha, just a few days ago me and my friend Liz had to write a short story using some weird objects like a fish cup, etc... and we decided to make him a sci fi/epic english lit. and stuff like that type obsessor, and he had a dog named Luke and woke up every morning and said "Luke I am your father", but he also insisted that the fish cup was the Holy Grail, and when his dog barked he said "Behold! The Holy Grail!" then "Nee! This is my grail! Now fetch me a shhhurbary!"

Heehee, and we also had to sing Pie Asu (I can't spell it. The monk chat they did in the movie) and when our music teacher taught it to us, i was like "Oh yeah, like in Monty Python and the Holy Grail when the monks were walkign around chatting "Pie Asu Requiem!" and hit myself with my music folder. I am such a nerd, lol.

Ahh ages ago we did have a fav britcom thread in here but that's yet another classic thread that fell to Ben's axe a few weeks back.

Anywho, yes the movies are great, no doubt, but the show "Monty Python's Flying Circus" was the real deal.

My fav episode is Episode 15 featuring the Spanish Inquisition among other instances of brilliance including this sketch:

and another, not in Episode 15 but still quite funny:

Dim: Yes, and I've a few questions I'd like to ask Cardinal so-called Richelieu.

Dim: Ah ha! He fell for my little trap.

(Court applauds and the Cardinal looks dismayed.)

Anyone here like the Young Ones or Red Dwarf as well? I wouldn't be the sane stable person I am today without those programmes.

I was King Arthur in that quiz. I just didn't feel like saving it to post it...haha

I loooove Monty Python. My highschool history teacher really got me into it. I love the Holy Grail....mmm yesss.
