one month till the season starts. im super geeked.
a full season with Joe Thornton(MVP) and Jonathan Cheechoo(Rocket Richard winner). i can't wait.
plus, we picked up Mark Bell from the Blackhawks that will be playing left wing on the top line with Cheech and Joe. he scored 20 goals on a horrendous Blackhawk team, so playing with Joe should get him at least 35.
what did your teams do durring the off-season?
ps. apryl, the 12th of october, its so on. ;)

Well I bought tickets for 23 Habs games this season, should be a lot of fun :) I'm still wondering who's gonna be the #1 goalie. Both are good, but who can stay on top all season long? If Huet has a good start again and keeps it up I wouldn't be surprise to see Aebischer traded before Christmas. I'm pretty happy with the changes made during the off season. Goodbye Bulis, Sundstrom and Zednick, welcome Johnson, and Samsonov :D All we need a a good center between Kovalev and Samsonov and everything will be great. The rookies will have to step up a little more and hopefully Koivu will be 100% when the season starts. That stick in the eye didn't do much good.

23 games....nice.
2 of my buddies got season tix, so i'll be able to go to a bunch of games whenever one of them cant make it. plus my roomates friend has season tix and we'll be able to buy a few off him every couple of games. plus plus, i'll just buy some tix if the other options arent available. so i'm hoping i'll be going to around 20 or so games.
yea samsonov was a nice pickup, he should play well with kovalev. we also have somewhat of goalie controversy with nabby and toskala. i was hoping we could trade nabby durring the off-season but our GM didnt get an offer he liked. im pretty sure he'll be gone sometime in the season.
so yea....is it october yet?

yes...yes you are. hehehe.
for realz though, I'm looking forward to it. I haven't been to a hockey game since the Kings played at the forum (can anybody say Gretzky, Robitaille, and Roody?? ps i can't spell names for shit) but haven't had any interest to go since than....cause the Kings suck balls, yeah. But I'll for sure be sittin back on the couch to enjoy a few ;)

Nabbi is quite expensive and well there's a few goalies on the market that could do a good job for less money. Anaheim, Buffalo and probably Montreal have the same problem with 2 goalies that can do the job. At the same time it's not that big of a problem ;)

no you're right. that 5 million dollar price tag on nabby is quite hefty. especially with the not so stellar last season he had. it's definitley not a bad thing to have two #1's in goal though. :p
yes...yes you are. hehehe.

I got my season tickets for the Sabres, and I am damn sure going to as many games as possible. I was there for every playoff game last year, and damn, what a ride. Now we got most of our team back, and as soon as Miller resigns, which is rumored to be by the end of the weekend, we'll seriously be looking to move Biron, again. But have a feeling we'll have him around until a goalie gets hurt or does not perform up to snuff.
We came close last year, and with some of the propects coming up from Rochester, we should still have a damn good team. Season ticket sales went from about 8000 last year to nearly 13000 so far this year. It should be a good crowd for nearly every game. Damn, I can't wait.
On the down side, I'm not looking forward to our new uniforms. Granted, they went back to the blue and gold... kinda. But, damn, that awful, awful slug of a logo. Oh well, can't win them all.

oh joy.
our newest aquistion, Mark Bell, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and felony hit-and-run.
Do I really need to kick your ass in another sport?
Okay, if that's what you really want.
You know, by the end of the season, the only reason I was even watching the games was because of you, lol.
But hey, if you need your American ass beaten yet again, I'm here for you.

Edit: Wait... I have to get surgery that day, so I might have to watch it in the hospital or something haha. And don't think I won't.

Less than a week! Pre-season game this Saturday, then the home opener next week. Damn, I can't wait for this season to start! It's the only thing this city has going for it's self. Lord knows we can't win a football game without help from the other team.

I have a minimal liking of hockey. I never watch a game and only keep up with one team, the Coyotes, who by the way better have a good season because, outside of the Suns, our professional sports teams in Phoenix are terrible and are in need of a big lift. Other than that, though, I could really care less about hockey because it isn't a sport than originated in America and I just see it as being very boring.

so by sheer luck a friend of mine who work's for the Ottawa Sens got us a box *box seats* for opening night in Ottawa....not that it was a game to cheer about. But I have to say, if you ever get the chance to do it. It is an experience and a half.
But me being the uber geek that I am nearly died when I saw that the control room was right behind our box.
but the 6 - 0 shut out for us, sucked donkey balls.........
8. Brendan Shanahan, N.Y. Rangers.
9. Saku Koivu, Montreal.
ok am I really seeing ppl FINALLY seeing Brenan Shanahan for what he really is, NOW that he has finally moved away from Detroit, and Stevie...
and Saku....wtf, he is amazing.
I hate how most of these sports reporters are LATE
oh and DUDE what do you guys think of Domi, now a reporter...he did a better job then I tought he would.

Two games, two shootout wins for the Sabres. All I know is, I can't take much more of this. I was completely without a voice after the game last night. Not how you usually want to play a game, but damn, what a ride. Only 80 more of these things to go....

Got to watch last nights game between teh Sabres and the Hurricanes, thought my heart was gonna jump out of my chest with all the excitement! lmao. It was one hell of a game. Glad that the Sabres managed to take it though. I could not believe that they got scored on when it was 5 on 3! :p

The Coyotes are stinking again. They lost 4-0 at home last night and are now 2-6 to start the season. I know it is still early, but I have already given up hope of a playoff appearance for them because most of those losses have been massive routs by the other teams.

It was even worse being there. We went from feeling comfortable... 5-on-3 with a two goal lead... to sitting on the edge of our seats again, thinking they could tie it up! But, man, this is fun. I would love to see them break the record making it 11 straight to open a season, but I am worried about Montreal. But as long as people notice this team is for real, I feel pretty good.

this tuesday will be the first of 8 mettings with the sharks and ducks. we'll be playing for first place in the pacific division(our ridiculously good division :/).

nobody likes hockey. fuck you anyway ima still post init.
WHOOWHOO! i was at the sharks/anaheim game last night. the best in the nhl squabbin. sharks scored 2 goals late to come back and win, obviously.
Sabres are in a slight slump. They haven't played their best hockey in a couple weeks, but they've hung on. And last night hurt. Why do we always have trouble with Ottawa? Damn I hate them.
