im going! my bday is feb.14 and the show if feb.11 so im going to buy a bunch of tickets and have a kick-butt party. i hope to meet a band member! :D

OK I live in the AV right now, I've lived here for a year and don't really know much of the LA area very well. I don't think I've ever even drove by the Wiltern, so I know nothing about it. Can anyone here give a few details about the place?

How's the parking?
How strict are they with rules like cameras, etc?
Ect, etc, etc....

the wiltern is a cool place, kind of old but recently remodled with lots of history. it's not the best sounding place, but it rocks. i am sure the band will max out all the sound they can. pull up the web site www.thewiltern.com to get the address and seating chart, then go to mapquest for the best directions. parking is across the street south of the theater, if you get there late you may have trouble finding a spot. always be aware that you are not in the best part of L.A. stay alert, find a friend. it is always best not to bring anything metal that will send you back to your car. i have been to shows at the wiltern were they have almost stripped searched you to letting you walk in with no search. i am sure that there will be some kind of search with an all ages show. have a great time, 5 days and counting.

i doubt they will let any camaras in...they aren't to big on like, flash photography or recording devices..
im just hoping it's not going to be all hot out cuz im going to be there at about noon to chill by the theater with my friend and im wearing black pants..yeh..babbling ended

I got them from ticketmaster.com. Its not that far. I got friends down in Canoga, Carson, Hollywood, etc, and I go down about every other weekend. Its about an hour drive.

i got mine through ticket master too..i ordered them i dont remember when, a while ago lol. u should be getting them. did u choose the ordinary mail option? you might want to call them up and have them check and see if they've been sent yet..

OMG what an awesome concert! Atomship was so-so. Default kicked ass. Evanescence put on probably the best performance I've ever seen at a concert. The ovation at the end was pretty good too. Didn't think people were ever gonna leave, then they came out... 1 MORE SONG! LOL.

I'm tired... going to bed.

It was great to meet all of you in person. It really felt like we were all part of this little family or something. I hope to get to know you all much better now!

We waited outside till 1:15 AM..

The security told us Amy was gone but Beth was there and I talked to her for a few minutes and asked if Amy was still around and she said yes she was but she might not come out for a couple of hours. I gave her something to give to Amy and about 5 minutes later..People started looking out the window of the dressing rooms. It was Shaun and Amy and Beth and Terry. Shaun mooned us actually..from the window..and then about another 10 minutes went by and they all came out together and the security told us to line up and Amy would sign ONE thing for us and NO pictures. (everyone that wanted one got one anyhow..)

I actually hung out with Shaun the most. The whole time Amy was signing and poseing. We talked about music and he was the coolest to me. He encouraged me about my music and we talked about his new record...I'm kinda rattled right now from it all..He took pictures with us..then asked if we wanted a picture with Amy too..( And we all were gonna say no right?!) And when she came back over to him they took pictures with us and they were really terrific to us.

So ..hope that answers your queston..I'm sorry if I'm babbleing like a lunitic. This was my perfect day really.. :D

OMG i don't know about anyone else but their show was un beleivable HEH i LOVED IT me and my girl friend had a good time even though we were in the loge amy has an incredible voice and i LOVED it and thought it a suprise when she played "farther away" i LOVE that song well i can't wait to get these pics developed today lol and i cannot wait till the next concert!!!!!!!!

What a concert!! The venue was awesome, very cozy and had great sound!! I would compare it to the HOB in Vegas. Me and my friend showed up during Default, which we thought KICKED ASS! they had really good sound, the lead singer had a sexy voice AND he was hot...and the guitar player was awesome. Gonna go pick up their cd.

Once Ev came on, I was so glad I ended up coming. At first I wasn't sure I wanted to go because I really wasn't too fired up. Not like in times past. But Nicole, my friend, said, "let's go!" and we did. We got onto the floor and tried to get real close but security said we had to have a special wristband. Whatever. So we weren't too far back from Ev and it was just perfect. I would have preferred being up against the stage, but being further away wasn't too bad. I would have to say that the best part of the show was Rocky all the way. I was really bummed when Ben left the band and all, but Rocky and his double bass carried the show by far. I couldn't really even hear John or Terry except on their solos, and Amy was excellent as usual. But my favorite song all night was Farther Away with Rocky's tribal drum intro and lenghty outro. It was definitely a fist pounding time.

Was it just me or did the crowd seem dead? Barely anybody had their hands up or even moving their heads. Nobody really reacted to their music until My Immortal and then BMTL. I was really disappointed because in concerts past EVERYONE is rockin out. These people in front of me looked like they were confused that Ev was heavier than they thought. The bass drums really took me for a ride and I was rockin out hands and head banging the whole time. Lots of fun. As much as I miss Ben and his show antics, the sound was pretty much the same.

All in all a good show. Glad to hear you guys finally got to meet the band after waiting so long!!

Man you guys got me even more excited hearing you talk about how great the show was, I will be seein then tomorrow night in San Jose.!

I went down to the stage before the show with my son and the usher said come back after the show starts. BINGO! I thanked the guy and gave him $20. up front all night next to the stage. I agree the crowd was real mellow last night. default tore it up they were great! evanescence keeps getting better. Bring me to life's intro was pretty cool with the lights and all.

Oh man, seeing Ev last night was amazing enough, but being able to meet everyone from the Evboard just added to it. Thanks for being so *(^%!#& amazing, guys!

I'd totally write about my experience, but it'd turn into some heinous journal entry, but I will say this : DARN IT, I SHOULD'VE WAITED FOR AMY. LoL. It's all good though, because I really had to leave because my friends all had early things to do. I'm glad you guys got to meet her though, though it would've been nice to get her to sign my outfit. [ I met Amy briefly at the Universal show last August, so I still have that to hold onto. ]

I think all three bands rocked, and it was cool hanging with the guys from Atomship and Default. They're so down to earth and fun, really. Ev was astronomical and I can't wait to be able to see them again [ I swear, I was so half tempted to drive to Vegas today and shoot for the moon. Lol. ]

LOL. My pictures JUST got done rendering. I'm going to sift through them now. ;] I know about 1/5 aren't too great, but the other 4/5? Oh yeah. Awesomeness.

I CANT EVEN BELIEVE AMY! She knew that there were like a few fans waiting outside for her autograph but she wouldnt come out! there werel ike 6 of us waiting until 1:30 am! she isnt as nice as I thought! I cant believe she did that, this one little boy started crying because she wouldnt come out! She said to the security "no i think i'd rather take a nap" it would have taken her AT THE MOST 15 min. to write her name on a few pieces of paper! I cant believe it! I hope to do everything in my power to let her know how much she let us down, I thought she was nicer then this.

Hey guys! I'm going to go a little overboard and tell you guys about my whole day! It was filled with Ev!
We got there at 12:30 and found out we had missed the acoustic performance by Star 98.7 so we were kinda bummed but we were still happy as we were like the 3rd group there sitting on the street.
I met up with a bunch of Evboard members! Waiting for 6 1/2 hours with those guys - felt like maybe an hour. We had a blast and sang acoustic ev songs for hours...Then babbyx ran over and told me John LeCompt was out back walking around so i ran and got my Fallen cover and my pen and we got autographs with John and Will - who were really nice to take time and sign and chat as they wanted to eat McDonalds!
A little bit later, Ashley (one of my friends we took) and I went to the Savon to get a camera, and we randomly walked around the back to see if anyone was chilling out there...and sure enough Rocky was out there! He is the nicest guy! He took pictures with us and sign autographs. I ran back to the line and got all the Evboard members, just then Will and John were walking back from Mcdonalds and I got pictures with John, as Will ran back inside.
So I was completely stoked!
We (evboard members) brought our acoustics out back and sang some songs hoping Amy or someone would hear it... and John came out as we were playing! Amy's dressing room window kept opening and people kept looking out of it so that made us kind of nervous! (or at least me!) but I had the best time. i picked up my tickets at willcall and went back to the line at about 6 and we all talked until it was time to go in. FRONT ROW!!!! Ziusud, I will post pics for you - your awesome!
Atomship came on...meh...Default came on...I like them, they are cool. Then Ev came on and I believe it was better then the Ampitheater concert - but then again, I had shitty seats at the Ampitheater...lol. They opened with Haunted, then led a full on set with some older songs that included Farther Away and Breathe No More. (Beautiful job Amy!)

After the concert, We went out back to wait for Amy to come out. There were about 50-75 people out there waiting fr her. As it got later, group by group left as the stage-hands said that Amy had already left a long time ago and to go home. There were about 15-20 people left and we were waiting outside, waiting for Amy still. Beth came out a few times, I got to kind of chat with her, she is seriously the sweetest person! I asked for her autograph as she is a great make up artist and she thought I was silly hehe. A few times she came out, loading things into busses...and we asked her if she could talk Amy into coming out and she said that she probably would not come out for a few hours because she is a little stubborn heh... but she would try to get her out for us. About 10 mins after, we all started singing Bring Me To Life and the dressing room window opened again and Shaun looked outside, as we were yelling things like Amy! Amy! We love you, your great! etc. and Amy, Shaun, Terry, and Beth were looking out the window and then left the window ... but before they closed the window, SHAUN MOONED US! a stage manager came out and said Amy would come out if we all lined up with one thing to sign and no pictures were allowed.

Amy, Shaun, Terry, Beth, and a few other people came out while Amy signed autographs...We got our picture taken with her (haha stage manager!) and I got the chance to say to her, Congrats on the Grammys, and she was like "Thank you, it was so unexpected...FUCK 50 CENT!" and I said, Yeah that was messed up of him, and she went on to say "All the times that I clapped for him, then he comes up and is all assholie!" Haha Amy! I got Terry to sign my Fallen cover as well, he was pretty laid back and shy.
I went over and talked to Shaun for a while, He was the nicest guy, I got his autograph as well. Just then, my friend Ashley comes up and asked Shaun, "Is your song, Gasoline, about screwing a girl on her period!?!" You should have seen his face, he didn't say anything, and his eyes got all big and he kind of looked around with his beer in his hand, awkward silence lol it was funny. Amy then came back over to Shaun and we asked if we could get a picture with him and Amy with all of us, and she said something along the lines of "I dont know, you would have to ask him, he is kind of weird about those things, hes african!" lol, so we got our pictures and as soon as I get them developed I will figure out how to post... it cant be THAT hard... I shook Amy's hand and told her she had a beautiful voice and that meeting her and the band was the coolest thing ever.

So, I got to meet a bunch of really awesome people from the board as well as my favorite band! Last night was seriously the coolest ever and I am realy glad I met all that I did, YOU GUYS ROCK! - Oh and I thank Jordan (my ride) and Adam (my friend who convinced Jordan to stay after the stage hands were telling us Amy left) for putting up with us and waiting for Amy after the show - as we had to drive like 100 miles back home that night to go to school today! Thats my review and I hope all of you that go to future Ev concerts have as much fun as I did, if not more! (if thats possible!)

They played a cover of Zero...I didn't realize how short that song is! It went by in a flash! Other than that, it's the same setlist they had since late last year. I loved hearing Whisper again, especially with all the lighting effects, and Rocky's bass drums. I did miss Ben's gnarly high solo at the end of Whisper. And Terry did a new solo in Haunted. It had quite a Cold flair.

i had an awesome time, better than i expected, met awesome people there but didnt identify any evboarders...i was there in a brown shirt with a donkey on it that said ASS...lemme know if ya saw me!

hey, you probably would have recognized us... we were all hanging out together - all us evboardes that were there... a while back we asked if any evboard members were there... and no one said anything so i was like okay... heh.. Di, the girl who was dress like amy in the Going Under video was there (awesome replica!) and Sudra who had a black jacket on, Miranda with her tinkerbell shirt hehe, Me wearing my white Evanescence shirt over my black dress with striped tights and socks, Jake who was really tall... i could go on...Bobby who was there since 7! I had too much fun!

i definitely agree about the volume of her voice, a bunch of us noticed it, the music should augment her voice, not the other way around...if anything it should be almost too loud...btw was there anyone there with an angels cap on?...there was a dude right near me with one on, thouhgt maybe he mighta been an evboarder...

Hey peoples!! I dunno if anyone will remember me, but I talked to a few of you waiting in line...(CantWashItAllAway...I definitly know we talked lol...but I'm not sure of who else...I was there with my friend up in the front with you guys :D ) anyways...the concert was amaaaaazing!! Amy wasn't "high" :rolleyes: come on ...thats retarded...they did 3 songs for a star 98.7 radio interview at 12:30 earlier that day...and her voice just sounded a lil tired, they've been touring for like'a year, you can't expect her voice to sound 100% perfect every night, but it sounded pretty damn close to me. Like others have said, it seemed like something was wrong with the sound...cuz she kept tryin to tell ppl backstage something was up, from what it looked like. The band rocked, and I'll never forget that night!! I just wish my friend and i would'a waited a bit longer outside...I didnt think amy was gonna come out :( My parents were like circling around the block a thousand times waiting for us, so i felt bad makin them wait any more. But all in all an AWESOME night....and everyone I got to talk to was really nice!! :) take care!!

I really think they need those. Not that they aren't good live without them; it just would add so much to the show. Maybe it's something to think about?

It was only a one hour set, on the first day of the tour. The tech's aren't going to be perfect on their first day. Trust me, her volume wasn't as loud as it should have been. I even listened to the cd right after and listened to hear how loud her voice was compared to the instruments, and her voice is SO much louder on the cd. Also, when I saw them before, she was much louder.

Yeah, during Haunted her voice was totally messed up by the sound guys...it was wayyyy too loud and was totally reverbing. It got better during the show. It sucks how after a whole year, the sound guys are still retarded.
And as of the prerecorded stuff, I don't see it being any less. Although I have to say the first times I saw them early last year they had the bass tracked. How ghetto is that?!? But now they have wonderful Mr. Will Boyd to play it live and it is WAY better. I thought it was hilarious how they didn't really sync up the live intro to My Last Breath with the tracked drum intro. You could totally tell they were off. That's ok though, it still sounded great. I LOVED Rocky's drumming....my friend and I were totally hooked on it. Sounded great and he is too cute!!!

Rocky blows Josh Freese's playing clear out of the water, and Will is a way better bassist than the guy who did the tracking on Fallen. There are some kick ass songs on there... but there can and probably will be a lot better songs on the new album! why dwell on making something that is already finished, better...when you can make something completely different and new! that way they will take all that they didn't like on fallen and not make the same mistakes...well i wouldn't say mistakes... but you know...things they dont like.

The concert was sooo freakin amazing!!!! i was the best concert ever!!! i can't wait for the new album to come out. and i'll be going to more of there shows!! i didn't get to meet any of you all?? :( i wanted to meet some fans. oh well next time!! evanescence definately ROCKED The Wiltern that night!!!!!!

Hey! I saw you at the concert. Awesome outfit.

Oh yeah that was kickass, I had soooo much fun with everyone, alll you guys were so cool yeah I know im posting about 3 days later but you know, anyway yeah I was there since 7:23 in the morning yeah and people were looking at me pretty weird but I was like whatever, so like around 11:30 star 98.7 gets there and this guy tells me and my cousin that he would get us in to the acoustic show so I was like hells yeah it was so awesome (oh and ziusud now hates me for seeing the acoustic show) they played Going Under first that was so awesome since John played this kickass new intro for Going Under, I was blown away, then even more blown away when they played Imaginary, then they played My Immortal, they ended it there and then took pictures with everyone for star, then I got John to take one with me hes so cool.
When I got outside Sammi (cantwashitallaway) and her friends got there, and they were pissed off that they missed the acoustic show, I started jamming out with Sammi's friend Robert later Miranda (Babbyx) shows up and looked confused cause I told her I was gonna have my guitar with me and there was like 3 of us with guitars. I couldnt help but laugh, Miranda your so cool, while later Sudra (ziusud) hes an awesome guy, shows up and is like where are all the evboarders. We all were playing ev songs, I was playing the guitar and so was Robert. Sudra, Miranda, and Sammi were singing they all sounded awesome, then when Di (Crofty) showed up she blew us away with her amazing voice not to mention her outfit, she even impressed John when we were playing in the back, we played the whole fallen album, and some old stuff.
The show was great, Atomship rocked, Default was good, then when ev came on it was awesome, they started off with Haunted then Going Under, then ummm dammit I forgot Ill check the set list later, anyway it was a great show except for the stupid sound people assholes, John threw his pic straight at me but Miranda stole it from me, I still say that pic should have been mine, its ok though. I wanted to hear them play Even in Death but I guess they replaced it with Breathe No More.
All in all it was the best concert ive been to yet, not just seeing the show but meeting all you great people, all of you are so awesome hopefully the next show we will all meet up again.

crofty, sammie, im still so depressed that i left..literally di taylor and I left like 20 minutes before she came out. i have the worst luck..it was the best show..nothing will ever top it. Plus, we all know Roy had the hots for me MEHEHEH ok so he was drunk and i was flirty but still!

I totally remember this happening, actually, I'm in it in the very beginning. The girl to the right in jeans and a blue tshirt who looks over her shoulder at the camera with a wtf? look on her face...yeah that's me. And towards the end where people start talking in to the mic...im pretty sure one of the guys is sammies friend.
