I, for one, really really enjoyed listening to and reviewing all the submissions from last year. Dhamma wanted to have another one around December of 2006, but as the board went to PS and then eventually died, we never had one.

Since Evboard is back up and running, I would love to have another karaoke contest. I think it was great fun, and I looked forward to new submissions every week. Anyone else agree?

I totally agree!!! I loved participating in the first one, run by Bruno (I came in 2nd two times--always a bridesmaid lol) I think we have a very talented, creative board. I need to buy a new mic :P

I am all for it. However, does someone have a hosting site with bagillions of bandwidth to spare? I never found a good audio hosting site without it crashing every 5 people.... so there would need to be a fair way for everyone's submissions to be heard via equal access to all songs.

I do. The hosting package we use for Flyleaf Online would more than cover a karaoke contest. I willingly offer hostage.

When should we plan on having the new one? Should we wait awhile while people get comfortable on the board again?

I'd really love to see this happen, although I probably won't enter myself :mrgreen:

how do i join?

Well we just started Round 4 (http://www.evboard.com/round-four-anything-goes-38220.html). Basically how you play is to choose a karaoke track (Here (http://www.evboard.com/round-four-anything-goes-38220.html) is a list of some karaoke tracks that our karaoke leader i-say-meow has put together), and using a mic of some sort open the karaoke track using some recording software (I use Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/), it's free and easy to use. Once you are done submit the tracks to Annie (i-say-meow), see ROund Four instructions for details.

It's easy and fun, come join us!!!
