I made this thread in conjunction to the other thread I posted about Khaled Hosseini. This book, A Thousand Splendid Suns, is just as beautifully written a novel. Even though the two are written by the same author, to put them under one thread or to compare them with one another just doesn't do each book justice. They speak of the same themes of personal struggle, but in A Thousand Splendid Suns, the focus is on womens lives as part of the Islamic culture under Shar'ia Law.
If you haven't read it, please do! It's a great book to discuss, and I think if anyone has some opinions, they should share!
