i first became a member in 2004 and my old account still exists but i had to give up that account when i had tech problems with it. while i am happy with my current account i was wondering if it were at all possible to meld the accounts together. while it appears my old post account for that thread has been seriously depleted (im thinking the old threads i posted in were completely wiped out) i was just wondering if my joined date could be changed becuase im kind of old evboard but my current join date makes me new school

It is possible to have accounts merged but that is something that only KCMO can do. A far as your join date being incorrect, alot of us are in that situation due to the server wipe.

I agree with Melanie. With the big server crash in 2005, I know that my joined date isn't correct. And I know a ton of others that aren't correct.

I didn't think the server wipe affected anyone that had joined previous to January of 2005. (And everyone that joined January or later, would obviously have assumed a June '05 join date.)

No, it just affected their posts. As far as account, they didn't lose that if they joined prior to the jan/june 05 server wipe.

Uhm we joined before the server wipe that affected the timeperiod between Jan and June of 2005. We both joined in 2005, but not initially JUNE of 2005. We had to create new accounts after the server wipe.

Everyone that joined between Jan and June 2005 lost everything and had to start fresh. Which was the case of Melanie and I. and many many others.

Karen and I both joined between the dates of January and June of 05. In my case, I joined Feb 1st. My account, all posts, and all rep points were lost. I had to re-register and was basically a n00b all over again.

exactly, and it sucked having to go through the mod que again once I had worked my way out of it the first time. I think I joined around April or so of 2005, I'm not for sure on the date. I just know that Melanie was the first to welcome me.

That's why I posted this, but after Karen made the post comment, I assumed I was incorrect. Either way, it wouldn't have affected ~river~ and all this server wipe talk is making me nostalgic. :o
