They're amazing (if you like the sort of music)!
I've done photography for them (that you'll find on their website when re-designed/relaunched soon), and they're probably THE nicest group of guys on the planet.
They're also fairly good friends of mine. I've known Dallas (the guitarist/singer as opposed to George's screaming) since he was still working at West 49. He's given me his solo CD/demo (which is amazing, it's basically acoustic/emo) and little performances of it.
Yeah, anyway...they're awesome. I recommend "Adelleda" or "A Dagger Through The Heart Of St. Angelis". In America, they have distribution through the same label Coheed and Cambria are on. It's lovely!

Holy shit, I just noticed the creater of this thread is from my area. You and I have probably been to the same shows. :P

Yes, one of the best bands in its genre. The singer has a pretty unique voice and makes you listen to more of their music. :)
..yes cheesy post.

Owns all!
hardcore band from Ontario, Canada
Inb my humble opinion, they're not even the best band on their label... That honor (with the Converge defection to Epitaph) belongs to Give Up the Ghost.
They're certainly not that great of a hardcore band compared to what has come out in the last five years or so.

Well.. their label has many great bands. Equal vision is one of the leading record labels in that genre at the moment though.

Maybe in sales, but like most of the "major" indie labels they're generally a step behind. They missed the boat with Majority Rules, Pageninetynine, and Tear It Up. The last big indie to have a truly relevant roster was Hydra Head when Converge, Cave In, Coalesce, and Botch were all releasing material (in some form or another) for them. All they've got left is a vinyl deal with Cave In.

I picked up their album "Watch Out!" about a month ago because I got a cd sampler from hot topic that was some summer sampler album and it had "Accidents" on it and I really started getting into that song, so I got the cd when I saw it. Odd thing is, I opened the cd and on the disk itself it said "for promotional use only" which is weird because I didn't think that Best Buy carried promo cds.

well thats strange. If I got that in my cd case I would return it for one that wasnt for promo use only. But thats cool that Best buy acually carries those types of cds now.

Yeah, they carry Alexisonfire and Tsunami Bomb, but they are always out of Tsunami Bomb.
I see a lot of websites debating that the name is either Alex is on fire or Alexis on fire, but since they don't specify anything by spaces or capital letters, then I just assume that it is Alex is on fire because I am more partial to that since my name is Alex (note the alteration of it in my screen name).

yeah, they're starting to get pretty big in Canada. They get played all the time on MuchMusic, so that's pretty cool. They're a pretty good band too. My friend's cousin (Jesse) is the drummer for Alexisonfire. Woot.

Apparently the actual name is Alexis On Fire, but I will continue to refer to them as Alex is on fire because my name is Alex. I really want to get one of their shirts that has a skull or something on it and wear it to school :P

I went to their concert last night. It was fucking amazing. I met Jesse, Dallas, George and Wade, and I ended up meeting George Strombolopoulous from MuchMusic. Got a picture with all of them:D

Alexisonfire are great! They're new song is contantly on repeat in my house.. Gotta love Dallas's voice. His voice seems to have got stronger.
It's quite a chilling song though as it generates a sense of hopelessness.
