I absolutely love the show Alias on ABC and I was wondering if anybody else likes it. I was on allalias.com and I know that some fans are members here....

I’ve seen all of season one and about half of the second season (I’m waiting on it coming out on DVD). But I did see the finale. :shock:

I'll eventually rent it, watch it, and end up loving it. The previews kinda reminded me of Dark Angel, which used to be one of my favorite shows. I really miss that show too... :(

I completely agree. i've tried getting my roomates hooked onto it but it's hard because you have to like explain EVERYTHING! lol and it's hard !!! ;)

That's the exact reason I don't start watching tv shows with previous seasons or movies that are sequels and why I get so pissed when I read a book and I find out that I now have to go out and buy/find the 5 other 1,000 page novels that went before it.

I LOVE ALIAS. i've watched it since the first season, in fact i spent a whole day watching a marathon of it on axn...
jennifer garner is one of the most beautiful actresses in the biss and michael vartan is just gorgeus...
i'm planing to buy both first and second seacon on dvd...

Alias R0X0Rs!!! It's my second favorite (current) show, right after 24. It's extremely creative and suspenseful. Plus Jennifer Garner is uberhot.

I watch Alias every Sunday, or at least tape it so I could watch it later. I 've only watched it this season, and it is great. Vaughn-/vartan is my favorite. Can't wait to see the next new episode

i think i saw only the first 6 episodes, because they showed it to late over here, and i got to tired to watch it, so after missing a couple of eps i didn't bothered anymore to watch the show

Yeah, I've heard from people's reactions to those spoilers, they seem happy about it, I'm still idly waiting for Season 3.

I love Alias.I think it´s one of the best shows ever.I´m so hooked on it.And then I think Jennifer Garner is one of the most talented actresses in the business,so bad she didn´t win the Golden Globe she deserved.

In the last few episodes about her past, we saw many of the explanations as to what happened? I'm confused as to how Vaughn's chick is involved in it all.

Well, there's speculation taht Vaughn's chick, Lauren, is evil
But really we don't know *exactly* how she is involved, whether
she's with the covenant, brainwashed, etc.

I have never been there. What kind of stuff do they have? I'm going through an Alias withdrawl, it's been like two weeks since a new episode. The last episode sucked though, I really thought Vaughn was going to leave Lauren, then she goes and kills her father. :eek:

But as for the show, I quit watching a few shows after the SuperBowl episode, aka the "rather than have her be a badass sexy spy, let's just put her in insanely skimpy outfits, get rid of SD-6, ruin the plot and kill her character" episode.

I saw my first episode of Alias about 3 weeks ago. It was the episode where Sydney and that dude were trying to find this German computer genius that made a computer virus to find a biological weapon or something. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone can give me a brief summary of the plot of the first 2 seasons. All I found on the Internet were page long episode guides for every episode, and I really don't want to read those. Plus there's a chance I might go buy the DVDs (cuz I can already see it's a great show), and I don't want to spoil that. But I'm a bit confused about who everyone is in the show, and I would really like a brief summary of the plot. Thanks!

Whoa, I haven't been back to this thread in a looong time. It's gotten kinda big... Yeah, I have yet to get the S3 dvd, but I got to get it soon, otherwise I won't be able to make it until January. S2's been in my dvd player all summer so now I really need to get going on next season. But I really hope in S4 that we get to see some of Lena Olin... i hope so too. She became one of my top three characters on the show.

i like alias too. as well as a lot of other shows you guys talk about, like buffy, dark angel, csi, 24, etc...i wish i had more time to watch them..oh and i caught a bit of the new one afer csi (in australia), called cold case, and it looks pretty good so far...

I enjoy Alias too! We hadn't even seen it on TV when my husband started collecting the DVD season sets. I think it had clashed with something else we used to watch.

But recently my husband and brother have begun playing Halo (XBox Game) all the time with all their friends and having competitions and stuff. They are gearing up for Halo 2 that is coming out! So all the wives/girlfriends of these guys have been sitting around completely bored...so we decided to start watching the Alias seasons from the begining. So now every Friday evening from 7pm until 1 or 2 in the morning there are major Alias marathons going on! It is so much fun and we are all enjoying the episodes and cannot wait until Fridays!! Plus we are watching it on my father's new 50 something inch huge flat screen HD TV thing he bought! Quite Nice!

My husband began playing it on the XBox and he is really enjoying playing it and I have been enjoying watching him. It reminds me alot of the gameplay in Splinter Cell....if you know that game at all. Having all the original voices is awesome and adds the extra touch to the game. Lots of stealthy sneaking through rooms of guards while avoiding security cameras....and if you get caught then all the guards come around and try and take you down....of course they have guns and you don't!! My husband is rather patient and will do areas over and over again until he gets through it. I think I might have thrown it out the window by now!! :D

I think that this season will be a lot better then S3, because JJ is taking more time to write it and film it, that hopefully there will be a better storyline.

I only rented it from Blockbuster, so I didn't get far. But what I saw I liked. Maybe i'll get it when it's really down in price. I never got past the part where Syd and Dixon were in a hotel (I think) and there was a room where Syd needed to get past some guys. Not very far, I know.

the alias game is for ps2 yes. i think there is an xbox version too. it's REALLY cheap now, at least where i live. it's gone down to about $48. and is on the sale tables. its sad because it's a GOOD game and we got it when it was about $70 so i grumble. thankyou to whoever read my story! you make me so happy. :D

ack it seems like it has been FOREVER!!!!!!

I've been waiting SO LONG for this season to come out... and finally it's here. But now I can't watch it because in 2 weeks I'm going back to college and Wednesday nights happen to be nights where I am going to have a lot of schoolwork to do for Thursday's class of the same subject (whereas I'd normally have a day in between the due dates cuz classes are spread apart). So my parents are going to tape it for me and now I have to wait MORE (until spring break) to see it. But then, watching it taped is SO much better than watching it on tv... those commercial breaks kill the show. You end up sitting there, saying, "when is the madness ever gonna end and the show come back on???" So that when you tape it, and a commercial comes up, you can be like, "oh! I can fastforward! Now I don't have to wait and sit through insanity in order to see what happens." But I can't wait for tonight's episode... I'm gonna tape it and watch it tomorrow without interruptions (aka commercials). Same with next week's. And about that Lena Olin thing, I heard, too, that she didn't want to come back for some reason (I think money may have been involved) so I doubt we'll see her. As for Will, I don't know if we'll be seeing more of him. I mean, unless he's got more secrets hidden in his brain, we probably won't see much of him (unless, god forbid, Syd and Mike decide to stay apart forever). Did anyone think for a second that maybe Syd and Eric Weiss (yeah, he does have a first name, which I just discovered this 3rd season I think) would have made a good couple while Mike was with Lauren? Remember that time they got drunk together and the time he gave her Alice in Wonderland for her birthday??? :p

I can't wait for the premiere tonight, I hope it's good. I've told about a hundred people at school about it and was shouting the time down the hall so I hope it's good otherwise tomorrow is going be interesting. I'm so excited! Ohhhh I never that of the whole daughter switcharoo! It just finished here on the west coast and this season doesn't really have the whole super drama thing. So that means there will probably a lot of surprises and character development. But then again who knows, This show is so great!

It pretty much ended with Nadia asking Sydney about her mother. They then went together to Moscow to see their mother in the Moseleum. Nadia asks Sydney if she knows who killed their mother; Syd says no; so Nadia vows to find and kill whoever it was that killed their mother.

I really enjoyed watching the 2-hour season premiere. It lived up to my expectations. The intensity was pretty much there. Though I'm sure we ain't seen nothin' yet. It's gonna get better :) I'm so glad the time slot doesn't conflict with Smallville :D

The season premiere was good. lol When I saw Sloane in the CIA I was thinking, "WTH?" And I agree that it's good the time slot doesn't interfere with Smallville!

I really liked the season premiere, although I really don't believe that Irina is dead. I kept hoping that Nadia would pull open the place where Irina was buried and then there'd be this big dramatic moment where they found nothing. I really want her to come back!

I taped it, making sure to let it tape until 10:01pm just in case they decided to end right at 10pm, but I watched it and apparently it ran over time, well over a minute. Can someone tell me if I missed anything after we see Syd find out from Jack he told Nadia that the bad dude from that show killed her mom? Then we see Syd go over to the desk where none other than Weiss is sitting (yay! I always knew he was smart enough to figure it out) and she ruffles his hair. Did I miss anything after that? Cuz that's where the tape cut off cuz it was "finished" taping.

Oh, and on a side note... has anyone seen one of the latest TV guide's cheers&jeers section? They gave Jeers to the tv networks because apparently the networks are letting the shows run overtime (by more than a minute, i guess) so people who try to tape the shows (to avoid sitting through commercials or cuz they can't watch the show cuz of their schedule) end up having the last little crucial bits cut off. :-/

Don't worry... I hate reading spoilers... I'm gonna come back to this thread once I think it's "safe" (meaning i've seen all the episodes I missed). I'd try to make time to watch it at college, too, except Alias just happens to be on a night that I know I'll hafta be doing schoolwork to get done for Thursday. Great news to hear! I can't believe they're not gonna have Nadia and Weiss on as much, Nadia, yeah I can understand that, but I LOVED Weiss, and he's one of the originals. Great to hear they're working in the pregnancy, too. It'll be interesting though, i'm sure that storyline will have some sort of twist whether it be Rambaldi related or whether it is actually Vaughn's kid.

A little interview was done with Bradley Cooper and they did talk about Alias.
We asked Cooper whether he thought a return to Alias could be coming up in season five. "Well, I went back the third season for an episode… It was great. I got to go back [and] sleep with Sydney, kill Francie and become a rock star. (Laughs) It was like ridiculous. (Laughs) You know, there is actually a storyline for me to come back next year for a couple of episodes, but I'm doing this show that's gonna be launched in the Fall called Kitchen Confidential on Fox, so I don't think I'm gonna be able to… I don't think I'm going to be available to do it, which is really upsetting, because I'd love to…"

When asked which of the fellow Alias actors Cooper has maintained contact with, he smiled. "Everybody. Yeah, man. I moved from New York to do it, with Victor Garber and Ron Rifkin, we all moved. We all lived on the same street in New York and we actually all moved to the same sort of compound in Venice… Victor Garber is like a lifelong friend now and Ron and Michael Vartan I just saw when I came back last night. But I watched a lot of the season. I loved this season."

Cooper says that his departure from Alias was a mutual decision. "It was me, actually. It was a combination. We just decided that the character was going in a sort of corner and there was nowhere to go. So we [decided] the best thing to do was to not be on the show anymore and maybe come back and be able to do a lot in one episode as opposed to, you know, peppered throughout 22 episodes just fixing ketchup bottles and flipping pancakes with Francie. You know what I mean? And just saying, 'Hey, how was your trip?'"

Stupid question of the day, is the intro of Season 4 new to that season? I wanted to rip it and make a few gifs with it but it wasn't there on the few episodes from Season 3 that I checked :(

Yup. The season 4 intro is brand new to the show. While it is cool, it is missing the little Rambaldi sign ( <o> ) that shows up at one point at the end inside the word "Alias" in the corner of the screen like they did in all the other seasons. It's a cool thing- shame they cut it out though, seeing as how this season had more and more to do with Rambaldi as the season went on. It's an easy thing to catch if you are able to do stop-frame or slow-frame fast forwarding, like on dvds, but if you look closely you can catch it very briefly if you know what you are looking for at normal speed.

Thanks! :) I am pretty good at picking up on little details like that... there are tons of little details that JJ Abrams likes to throw at us to see if we catch. I can't think of any off-hand, but I do know they are out there.

As for next season, I can't wait either. Whatever JJ decides to do, I'm sure it will be amazing. I think that if Mia is leaving the show, it's for a good reason though. Maybe she doesn't have to be doing something else to leave... maybe she just... leaves... or something in the first episode and then never shows up again. As for Lena Olin, she probably won't show up... considering she ran off again in the season finale, but who knows. She might be mentioned or show up briefly once or twice. I think her appearance was a special, one-time-only deal. I think they had to pay her a lot of money to get her to come back for it.

I think part of the reason that Mia Maestro's character Nadia won't be back much is because the show really has no use for her anymore. I liked her, but since "the Prophecy" was stopped in the season 4 finale and Yelena Derevko was killed, I feel as though having Nadia on the show would be pointless. That's just my .02 though.

Garner Agrees To Be With You

Jennifer Garner (Elektra, Alias) will produce and star in a remake of the 2004 Japanese hit Be With You, Variety reported. Garner's newly formed Vandalia Films banner will develop the project in conjunction with Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen (American Beauty).

The original film was directed by Nobuhiro Doi from a novel by Takuji Ichikawa. It centers on a dying woman who pledges on her deathbed to return to her husband and young son. A year later, the father and son happen upon a woman who bears an uncanny resemblance to the dead woman. Variety reports that Warner Brothers is close to announcing a director for the project

I was watching Entertainment Tonight and they mentioned that Ben and Jen are getting married this weekend in front of 30 guests in Jen's hometown of West Virgina, but both of their reps denied that rumour so i dunno...

also, The Insider has mentioned that Jen is having a GIRL! according to them, they recently asked a close friend of Jen's and they said she's having a girl and both her and Ben are thrilled... i still say we have to wait until the baby is born :p

'Dardevil' BEN AFFLECK has finally tied the knot with his new Jen, reports US Weekly. According to the magazine, Ben and reported mom-to-be JENNIFER GARNER married in a secret island ceremony Wednesday night in the Caribbean. Reps for both actors had no comment on the reported nuptials.

The dynamic duo met while filming 'Daredevil,' but didn't start dating until their respective relationships went kaput (Ben's with former fiancé JENNIFER LOPEZ and Jen with "Alias" costar MICHAEL VARTAN).

News of Jennifer's pregnancy broke in May. Although sources from the "Alias" set confirmed the baby news to ET, neither of their reps would comment. This would be the first child for both stars.

The couple has kept an extremely low profile, avoiding any red carpet appearances together. They were first spotted getting cozy at the 2004 World Series in Boston.

This is the first marriage for Ben. Jennifer divorced husband SCOTT FOLEY in March, 2004.

I hope she does win too. But if I were her, 7-8 months pregnant, I'd be wearing some damn comfy shoes. I have no idea how Catherine Zeta-Jones showed up at the oscars a couple of years ago the way she did.

The Season 4 cover is hot! I think they are going back to the boxset style of the first 2 seasons.

Rachel Nichols(the girl from The Inside) will be a great addition to the cast. She's great in The Inside, too bad Fox killed it :(

I really don't see her has a spy on the field. She's way too fragile for that. Maybe an helper of some type but not a field agent.

The Inside was pretty good actually, very dark and sinister. It was a lot like the old show The Profiler.

So Michael Vartan aka Vaughn, is LEAVING the show! :mad: :( some people said it was already announced by abc and some people are still in denial about it. He's leaving very early on and they hinted something about a tragedy happening so i guess it's obvious to say he's getting killed off. First they said it was cuz MV wanted to leave the show out of his own will, but now they're saying he had to go because the producers wanted a really huge climax in the season.

I dunno, when i read it last night i was literally in tears, i love him soooo much! i still can't figure out why they would do this to alias fans! :mad:

I just have a feeling season 5 is gonna suck and knowing that ABC is 80% sure it's the last season, it's very disappointing. :( :( :(

Well with the storyline they want to have for him about being a double agent, it would make sense that they kill him. But I still find it weird after what was said on imdb.com today.

So my guess is that Season 5 picks up a few months after the accident. So the pregnancy could last all season, and they would kill him soon afterwards....I guess this is a new start for Alias with all the new faces....We'll wait and see.

Wow, it'll be interesting to see what exactly is going to happen with all of these new developments and with so many new people. It's sad to think this could be the last season, this show was keeping ABC alive for me. So many of my shows have been cancelled, I really don't want to see this one go.:(

I finished watching Season 2 yesterday. It was pretty good. I miss Sarks, Sloane and Irina already lol I was trying to find a moment in the show that you could see all three of them next to each other and I can't find one :( It's only 2 of them never all 3. I'll probably start Season 3 next week, so I'll have a little more then a month to watch it before Season 5 :D The fight between Syd and Francie was just awesome. They just beat each other up so much!! Crazy spies :p

[ 1- Yesterday, Wednesday August 17, 2005 was Michael Vartan’s last day of shooting on the series “Alias”.

2- The funeral scene was filmed yesterday.

3- At this time there is no intention of having either Vaughn/Vartan return to the series.

4- In regards to Mr. Vartan’s departure being a “mutual decision”, Mr. Vartan’s intentions had always been to stay with “Alias” until the series concluded as he had many times, stated in the past.

So yes, Vaughn will die early on in the season. *cries*
