Well, it doesn't exactly have anything specifically about Ev, but thanks for posting :) I really jope Ev get nominated.

Hey...I think that Ev has a good chance! MI and BMTL are still being played to an astonishing extent on radio today, and while Hey Ya! is still played, I've heard Ev more. 'Roses' hasn't exploded like Hey Ya did, so I think they've got a good chance.

I REALLY hope they perform. That would just make the night...even if they don't win lol. :)

I do believe that the show will be held in L.A. It would make sense, either L.A. or N.Y.C. As for EV's chances, it's hard for me to see them being able to upset Outkast, with all of the success they have had. I don't begrudge them any of the awards they have won, but it does seem that Ev seems to be in the same categories all the damn time! Oh well, it won't be the end of the world if they don't win.

That would only happen if they're nominated in the Fans' Choice award nomination. It hasn't been determined what artists are taking part in that.

hmmm... Outkast in the Pop/Rock group.. Pop, maybe, but rock-- no way! I think they would be better suited in an R+B category. Like others have said, Nickelback is no competition, so Outkast is all we have to worry about.

Hopefully the band will be there and they perform a song to promote the upcoming dvd. (crosses fingers)

I'm a huge fan of Nickelback, but I would love to see Evanescence win the award. Their album was just flat out better than the Long Road. IMO, screw Outkast.

There was indeed hype for it on this board. At least by the right people. For whatever reason though, people didn't even visit the thread.

There was a sticky on the top of the forum that originally had a sign that I figured people would have visited.

It read "Vote Evanescence for TWO major awards!"...keeping in mind that before the awards they were actually up for two major awards.

This one at the time held priority. The People's Choice award the next one to vote for (voting ends January 9th for that one).

As of last night, there were only 462 views. Sounds a little low.

I don't know if people thought that the thread is no longer relevant because it was locked, but I know if I were looking at that thread and it said to "Vote Evanescence", I would have looked at it anyway. And the fact that it was a sticky made it that much more important.

WTF? Why the fuck is USHER getting fucking nominated in the POP/ROCK category... OR OUTKAST for that matter? Um, last time I check, they were R&B, they get fucking nominated in BOTH categories? R&B AND POP/ROCK?

Usher and Outkast fit into pop as well as R&B.

I think the problem with the award show is that the categories are too spread thin. They're so general.

And the fact that they only nominate 3 per category (I think it's three) makes it kinda blah. If there were more (say, five, even four) in each category maybe it'd be a little more interesting. This year's AMAs made me want to stick a fork in my eye.
