To pour salt into the wound, they held a '12 women who rock' section. Amoung them there were such trash as Missy Elliot, Alicia Keys, Pink and even Avril Lavigne. Amy Lee puts them all to shame.

I don't think they mean rock as in the genre. I think they mean more in a sense of "movers and shakers".

Nothing really I guess, I just hate the way tabloids will flame those who don't conform to the rules of what is popular. I think the term rock is pretty meaningless now, its used everywhere, its lost all identity.

That's a bit of an old 'review', I remember seeing it some months ago.

To be honest, who cares? So what, some fashion critic thinks Amy's dress sense isn't all that great. No big deal. If someone thinks the only way someone can look good is if they spend £50billion on a pre-made generic dress, then that critic's opinion means jack-shit. If they have that little imagination that they can't accept anything which isn't just the usual standard, then what the hell are they doing in fashion? The point of fashion, particually fashion shows and the like, is to show off new ideas, new designs, to go out of the norm and stretch the boundries. If someone follows what every single other person does then that's not deemed 'fashionable', that's just being generic. Sure, you don't have to go all the way and make your own stuff and be totally different, but if you're exactly the same as every other tom dick and harry then you may as well just turn up in jeans and a t-shirt.
If a critic can't see past the norm, they shouldn't be talking about fashion at all. 'Nuff said.

And anyway, anyone who knows anything about hair knows that most black dyes are pretty kind to hair and as such Amy doesn't need a strong conditioner at all. It's blonde dye and ginger/red dye that screws your hair up most. Goes to show how much that 'expert' knows.

All the critics are really doing is saying their own opinion, and let them be close-minded to anything different. I normally don't agree with half the people they have of the best dressed list anyways. To each their own, but personally I thought the dress looked great on her. Good for her for knowing what she wanted and dressing that way. :)

Hey, I saw the article and was quite dissapointed.
So I contacted them about 9 hours ago. And i got a response :) (its nearly 8am and i havnt been to bed yet!)

Yeah, in the email I basically said that I don't agree with it, but of course its an opinion etc. I also mentioned that they should really have complimented Amy for not following the crowd and being an individual.

The reply I got was something along the lines of:
"We love our members, and respect their opinions, etc. I have passed this on to the appropriate people for the article."
