Digital painting!
YES!
Very nice job for you first go. As far as form and realism goes this is dead-on. The hues overall are kinda pale though.
What brush where you using (like Hardness, etc.) and what opacity were you working at?
Just curious.
Awesome job!

This is very good. a lil pale. but very good anyhow. I'm in the process, if i ever get my main computer working, of doing one of Kelly clarkson. it's on the hard disk and i can't get the darn pc to turn on. I will definatly use your pics as refrence. I had some troubles going through the steps in photoshop.

your painting is intoxicatingly beautiful. You captured Amy's Expression from the picture incredibly well. I have tried to draw that picture myself many times, and lets just say "i suck" lmao...but you have amazing talent! this was incredible.

Wow, that's really good, especially for a first shot.
I agree though that it's a bit pale. I think if you build up the dark tones ( look who's talking!) and the definition of the eyes and nose it'll help :p
Don't worry about making mistakes - they're the best things to learn from.
I find that if I'm planning to do something slightly drastic, I'll save what I have and then end up with two versions - one with and one without the changes.
You should always be saving every five minutes though, it seems XD (again, look who's talking).
Keep it up :)

your work is seriously amazing. I like what you've done portraying the evasiveness in Amy's eyes in the first shot, and in the second one "steps" the collage of pain that you show is with just a few simple changes in shadows are very talented. Great job. Hope to see more work soon.
