This was really really short, but i was curious if anyone on the board was involved... in Teen People Sep 04 in the letters to the editor there's a letter from a girl named Kelsey Coleman (18) from NYC who wrote:

"Your '25 Hottest Stars Under 25' list puzzled me. Amy Lee, one of today's best musicians, wasn't mentioned! How can you ignore Amy's spellbinding vocals and poetic lyrics? Unlike other celebrities, she doesn't use publicity stunts to hold onto the spotlight. She simply relies on her God-given talent."

Not totally sure if i wanted Amy on a list that included some people that i absolutely despise, but it's nice that she got noticed anyway. So anyone know who this Kelsey is? Just wondering if it was someone on here.

I've read that too. I don't like the lists cuz it's basically the same people. I only liked Bam and Keira Knightly and Anne Hathaway but other than that...*runs away* lol...but that's cool someone wrote them a letter.

I dunno, I odubt it was anyone from here, but I may be wrong.

If it was somebody from here...I wouldn't be all that surprised.

I think it's great Amy was mentioned. She deserves the credit, after all. Maybe it's better that she was just mentioned, because if that list was made up of people you don't respect maybe it would mean people thought Amy was like them. Obviously she's very respectful thoguh, don't get me wrong on that. (jeez I sound like a rapper now)

Was there an answer to the letter? I'm interested to see what the editors have to say...

Good thing from that Kelsey to post the letter. Amy should have been nominated. 25 stars but not Amy?! Well she's not the only talented musician under 25 but I really doubt that there are 25 others better than her.

I saw that issue, and I dont agree with most of the people that are on that list (well at least 98% of the people) and they dont really deserve to be on the list .. So im happy that Amy isnt on there cuz then it would come off that shes one of those teenyboppers that are in every teenybopper magazine!

I agree with the ones listed above. Murray and Hathaway aren't fantastic but I don't mind them.

Mm, not me. Mostly i thought the list sucked. I think i might agree with...maybe three or four of those people. I liked the page in the original article with Keira Knightly and Good Charlotte though. That one i have up on my wall. Keira Knightly is an amazing actress (and got to flirt with Johnny Depp...), and Good Charlotte may be sorta sell-out-ish, but i still like their music.

People I agree with are--The cast of The O.C., Chad Michael Murray, Lindsay Lohan, Good Charlotte, Avril Lavigne (I know I know! :p ), Jessica Simpson (she'd bee on there anyways :rolleyes:) Vanessa Carlton (Love her music!), Josh Hartnett and Alicia Keys.

Amy rarely gets mentioned in Teen People- a few months ago she was in a photograph with Pink, and then way back in December there was a small article on Ev, because they were TP's breakout artist of the year.
Amy really could have made the list, but if you think about it she would really be out of place. All the celebs who were mentioned were the crappy pop types like Hilary Duff and Jessica Simpson ( no offense to anyone who likes them) where as Amy is less hype and sugar and more quality and maturity.

It's nice they posted the letter about her absence from the list. I think she gets overlooked all the time cuz she's not promoting herself like other celebs do, thank god! She doesn't need to. It would be nice if magazines like that did give her a little more exposure I mean her band does win Teen Choice Awards don't they might as well have them in the teen magazines somewhat, right???

o yeah, I saw her once in the 'funny pics' gallery, she had her eyes crossed and her tongue out and a weird henna tattoo on her face. I had it as a bookmark till Saphira'sChaos stole it. grr.

Oh yeah, I know that, but I was just saying they should have put one actor/actress on their instead of being so generalistic :) Heh, I was completely obsessed with the show but I lost track of it :confused: Oh well, it's stopped showing now anyway. Shame, the guy playing Luke was cute :D

but, somehow, i'm glad Amy doesn't appear very much in all those extremely commercial magazines...it makes her much more special than all those boring and repetitive faces of "artists" we keep seeing everywhere...
