Set in 1970s San Diego, this is the story of local TV anchorman Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), God's gift to the ladies and the area's most respected reader of the teleprompter of the news fit to be known, who finds his position challenged by an ambitious female newscaster (Christina Applegate) who, unlike Ron, actually knows something about journalism.

Is anyone going to go see this movie? They're even promoting it on MTV News by having Ferrell (or rather, Ron) giving us the news..

I just got back from seeing this movie a while ago, and at first, it looks a bit boring and stupid. But the movie gets better, and the laughs start coming. The highlight is the stupid dude of Ron's news team, who later on, his life manages to diss George W. Bush (surprise ending).

And with some spoilers below in black...

Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Jack Black, and Ben Stiller are in the movie. Jack Black is a biker, while the other three are rival newscasters. Ben Stiller is the best of the three, and once Wilson appeared, I had a feeling Stiller would come up. And he did...the best part is when he goes, "Policia!" HAHAHA :D

The dude with the glasses on Ron's team is seriously stupid as hell, which is, of course, hilarious.

"If we talk to you, we'll get fired, Ron." (after what he did)

Then the other two have to clap to get the dude with the glasses's attention, and while walking off, he has this big, goofy smile on his face and is waving

Oh, and during the previews, Jimmy Fallon's got a new movie comin out, and Queen Latifah's in it as well...it looks alright I guess.

What, besides me? :p

It's one of those movies that people would give a B rating (like..on yahoo.com)...it's worth seeing in theaters but I don't know about buying. However when they release the DVD it might have an extra, new version of the movie (as in completely different) that's about an hour and 40 minutes. There's an article in the latest Newsweek magazine talking about that, and also talkin about how the original movie was 9 hours long?! or something and should have had an R rating (if you see the movie, like the erection scene for example, if they had it from "Ron's" point of view looking down at it, which is what they had originally, it would have to be R-rated or something instead of it's PG-13)

Like I said befo, the beginning is quite boring, the first, maybe 5 minutes. I was thinking, "What the hell...I just wasted $5.75. I'm an idiot." but it got much better after the beginning (which includes the "CANNONBALL!!" scene. Quite repetitive now)

It's worth seeing I'd say, especially if you like to laugh :p so for you Kaydee, go see it? :D

I just went and saw it tonight. It was pretty funny- Will Ferrell is absolutely hysterical in pretty much anything he does, though! There were definitely some memorable lines that I'm sure I'll be quoting. I kind of had it hyped up in my mind more than I should have, so it didn't fully meet my expectations, but that's not saying much 'cause they probably a little too high. Steven Carell (Brick) was wonderfully funny, too. It was a little strange at time, but mostly funny. So, I would say go see the movie, but I don't know if I would rent it when it comes out on video.

I just saw it tonight and I thought it was friggin hilarious! I agree with Cyra though, the beginning was pretty boring. But it got really good. The stupid guy had me crack up everytime he opened his mouth. Even when he didn't hahaha. It was so great when they were in the office after the big battle royale and they were saying their names,

Will: Ron Burgundy!
Paul: Brian Fantana!
David: Champ Kind!
Steven: Brian Fantana..

I was crackin up...hahahahaha

What was everyone's favorite part in the movie?

Mine was the whole battle. The Ben Still news crew was the best!

That had to be the best part cause they all reunited (Old School crew and...wherever Stiller belongs. With Vince Vaughn in Dodgeball I guess)..and that whole, "Policia!!" part was hilarious..

But that dude with the glasses was hilarious too cause he was so stupid throughout the movie. Especially the part where one of them is like, "We can't talk to you Ron. Or we'll get fired.." and that dude with the glasses smiles and waves as they're walking away, only to have to be clapped at by some other friend in order to get his attention HAHA...man it would be easier if I remembered his name instead of "that dude with the glasses"..

Hi name was Brick.

I was totally crackin up at the end when they were talking about what happened later on in their lives. Brick ended up working for the Bush administration!!

OH! And also when everyone is yelling because the girl joined the crew, Brick doesn't know why they are yelling so he's like "LOUD NOISES!!"

I saw the movie and thought it was really funny. I loved his scenes with his dog Baxter. I have to give credit to Will Ferall because I don't know that anyone else could have done this role and made it work. Brick was really funny but I think the whole cast worked well together. The cameo's were hysterical. If you are looking for an Oscar worthy film this isn't it but if you are looking for a funny some times silly movie then it is definetley worth seeing.

Brick rocked all over the place in that fight. My favorite line was "Yeah, I killed a man...I stabbed him in his heart." Boy that scene was funny.

It just upset me that Luke Wilson said "Regoddamndiculus" and I think that every person that hadn't heard about that word before is going to be repeating that till the end of time now.

I honestly didn't like this movie at all. I didn't find anything funny. The funniest part was when we were in the theater and some guy was going back to his seat and he tripped up the stairs. That's when a lot of people laughed. When we were leaving some people were saying that they wanted there money back.

The previews looked okay on t.v but when I saw it I thought it wasn't good at all.
