Im going to the brisbane show. Im doing an uber road trip to get there. It will be a little over 4000km round trip. Thankfully i got great seats for the show to make the trip well worth it.

b) true fans who had to fork out $$$ themselves and go to appreciate the whole concert.
c) a mixture of both

I have GA tickets to the Melbourne gig, and I'm hoping true fans turn up. However on the plus side if pre-teens go i'll actually be taller than somebody their and will be able to see ;)

My guess is that 50% will be people who have heard BMTL and nothing else, 40% will be people who have bought Fallen and may know about Ev's stuff pre-Fallen, and the last 10% will be what I call true fans.

I think there will be mostly teens (like myself so I can't talk). It pisses me off when I see people that have only heard BMTL and GU and consider themselves hardcore fans.
I really really really hope Ben does come back cause he's my favourite member. (or was)

Nah I disagree. There's going to be hardly any PRE-teens and oddles of teenage, recent Puff Daddy/Nelly converts who'll scream and then sing along to Bring me to Life. Hopefully they'll show enough respect to wear a bit of black.

Well said!! Personally, I detest the 14 year olds who go "OMFG Evanescence are so cool..." and they only know 1 song off 1 album. These are also the people who ALWAYS get the name of the band wrong, say it like"Evan-scence" or something. People who make me want to pick them up by the front of their shirt and scream in their face "IT'S EVANESCENCE, YOU IGNORANT TEENY-BOPPING FUCKWIT!! G'day, I'm another from the Western Sydney region... well it's the Blue Mountains really but 5 mins from Penrith.
I'm hopefully going to the Sydney concert however I'm in Darwin till mid December cause of my freaking job and it doesn't make getting the tickets that I want too easy. I was thinking of going to both the Brisbane and Sydney concerts but on that weekend I'll be driving back from the Gold Coast to Sydney and since that takes about 11 hours I'd have had no sleep at all by the time I rocked up at the Sydney show :).

I'll be going to the Sydney Ev concert, so mark me down for that one.

In fact, I'm REALLY looking forward to the first 2 months of 2004. I'm confirmed to go to 5 (F I V E) concerts... don't want to toot my own horn but... toot toot! :D

Sadly you could associate me with teens when it comes to my age, but I'm definitely not one of those teenyboppers who've only heard BMTL and think Paul McCoy is part of the band and some even have the nerve to say they only like the song because of the male vocals, that gets on my nerves so freakin much, luckily most of my "peers" are into R&B hip-hop stuff, so at least i know I won't be seeing them at Ev. concerts. Hoprefully those uninformed aforementioned people will remain unaware and not turn up. Geez, I'm soundedcynical today :P

Excited? I don't know, I feel kinda weary already. I'm still recovering somewhat from NYE and the trip up the coast straight after that (too much booze, too much partying, too much sun and the surf, not enough sleep = head spinning), and the ringing in my right ear has finally gone from the bloody Queens of the Stone Age concert last saturday after that trip up the coast. The Evanescence concert is on a bloody sundat night, everyone has to work the next day so no one would want to go for a drink after the concert. Eleven days after the Evanescence concert I've got another concert to go to (The Mars Volta), and hopefully my mate didn't get me tickets to The Strokes...

Think I'm gettin' too old for all this!

Seriously, for QOTSA my friends were too timid to go in the mosh pit... so I was forced to stand almost right in front of the right set of speakers... we got a good view, but there were a lot of "WHAT DID YOU SAY???" being yelled out after the concert! Naturally that made for a very interesting ride home!

But I can understand the suckiness of the concert being on a Sunday night. The first concert I went to at the Ent. Cent. was on a Sunday, when I was 16, that's 6 years ago! Until last month all concerts at the Ent. Cent. were on Sunday nights!! The Live concert and Xtina concerts were on Friday and Tuesday nights! Yes, I live in Adelaide, I was shocked...

Sweetie, I wish I could stop getting old! I feel like a kid sometimes but my body is not keeping up! Losing my touch on the skateboard, getting puffed after only 10 minutes on the ice for broomball, it's only been 2 concerts and I'm already tired... and more shockingly, I preferr staying home at nights these days than going out! I don't know what the hell is going on but I need to snap out of it!

The mosh for QOTSA was so tame, there was barely one there when I looked toward the middle. QOTSA fucking rocked, I seriously can't believe there wasn't a mosh, let alone someone actually get injured there.

Hey, was it just me or was the sound for the Distillers suck compared to QOTSA? I could barely make out what Brody Armstrong was singing. I'm glad the sound for QOTSA was awesome though!

I saw Deftones last year, yah I wanna see Tool & NIN coz I missed both of them last times they were out. But I can't wait. I'm the kinda person who has had 3 strait concerts (eg Manson Sydney, Newcastle then the Ataris) and went off for all 3!

Though, I do know what you mean, I was a little concert whore when I was a teenager, I could stay up all night and survive on very little sleep. I think all that crap is starting to catch up with me now. Though I can still stay up all night, but now instead of surviving on a few hours sleep, I sleep for about a week to recover.

Anyway, one of the reasons I feel so damn tired now is that I stay up too farking late - a legacy of doing overnighters and staying awake for more than 30 odd hours for uni work last semester. It's 3:39am as I'm typing this, I'm just starting to get sleepy. Tis my usual sleeping time now, and getting up at 11am or later. Not a healthy habit, but I'm used to it...

Meah, what's there to do anyways. It's the holidays for cryin' out loud. My usual routine is to get up, eat, skate or go play snooker with a mate at the leagues club, skate some more, if it's hot go to the beach, go to the pub, go to a mate's place for dinner or playstation 2 (or both), more beers and/or snooker, then bed.
