It's a matter of population. Texas is the second highest populated state behind California with New York in third. It isn't dumb planning. Don't be bitter. For some other people this is their first change to see Evanescence live.
Speaking of which, does anyone know who is selling tickets for the show or where they can be found?

I was very fortunate to be able to see them when they were in El Paso, TX so I am not as sad as others, but I do find it very unfair that they are not coming to the smaller states. They are going to 4 places in Texas, yet they won't stop in New Mexico and nearby states. This wouldn't be so bad, except they cancelled their Albuquerque, NM show in November, and still haven't made it up yet.

I am SOOOO very excited that they are coming back to Texas again. And this time I am able to go. But I can't find a place to buy tickets, I have looked at all the places I would know of on the internet and they don't even have the dates yet. So if anyone knows it would be very helpful. And does anyone know how to or if you can buy backstage passes? That would be awesome.

I am supposed to go, something always comes up to ruin my plans. And those are just things like movie plans and this is more....uh....advanced than going to the movies. But I am bound and determined to go to this. Nothing will stand in my way! (slightly evil victory laugh)
And congrats on your many dreams coming true.

Does anyone have any word on tickets yet? I've been watching ticketmaster and they don't have them, their Evanescence dates skip right over the 08/10 date.

I had to call 95X to find out about the ticket sale date. I'll probably be at Endless Horizons Saturday morning to get my ticket right at 10am. I have my vacation time approved, now the tickets will be taken care of. The last step is working on how to get a backstage pass (if there are any to actually get). Then I'll be all set.

If you find out anything about the backstage passes let me know will ya'?
I hope wherever you work doesn't change their mind at the last min. and make you work. My brother's boss does that to him all the time.

I bought my tickets today. Since it's not a local show, Endless Horizons added a slight markup to the ticket price. I guess I'm used to the 90s, I was expecting the tickets to be around $30. With the markup ($2) they were $41. No info on any backstage passes. I'm not even sure if Evanescence does that or will be doing that. From what I've heard, after a show the band usually just retreats to the buses. I honestly don't care about any of the other bands that will be there, I'm just going for Evanescence. It's not that I dislike the other bands, I just don't care for them much. I hope so much that I at least get to meet the band, if only for a short period of time.

Same here. But I read on another thread that after the show Amy is really tired so you should try to catch her before the show. I wouldn't want to bother her while she was really tired.

I'd also hate to bother her has she is getting ready for the show. I know she has to get pumped, warmed up, ect. I'm an actor so I fully understand that. Too bad there isn't a meet and greet or something of that nature. I'm going to try to get to lubbock as soon as I can that day to see if by some slim chance something may happen.

That is what I am going to try and do. Right when the gates open up, I'll be there. And hopefully I will get to meet the band. My uncle says it absolutly won't happen unless you have a backstage pass, but others have met them w/out passes so.
Besides I have a plan to sneak backstage. I will hide near the door but out of site of the guards, my friend will fake a seizure in front of the guards and when they rush to help her I run inside. It's the perfect plan! ha!ha!

I just got back from the concert and I am happy. I didn't much care for the other bands, the crowd pissed me off, and after sun set you could smell the cow shit filled fields just out side of town; but for Evanescence, it was worth it. They played mostly Fallen material but they also played Breathe No More and another song that I couldn't quite understand because the crowd was screaming too loud for me to hear anything. When I say the crowd pissed me off it is because they were stupid. I got kicked in the head several times by crowd surfers just because I wanted to be close to the stage. Then some morons think its a good idea to start a mosh pit during My Immortal. So that sudden jerk nearly knocks down the entire crowd. One person gets knocked out completely and has to be carry out to an EMT team, yet it only delays the mosh pit about 3 seconds before they start up again. Amy looked amazing. She was wearing jeans with a white multi-layer skirt that looked like it could be the bottom half of a wedding dress. Then she was wearing a black and white striped tank top and her hair was in two pig tails. Terry, John, Will, and Rocky were right on the money. They didn't miss a beat and were amazing. I loved the extra operatic vocals Amy added before BMTL started. The closest I got was about 15 feet away. As far as I could tell, there was no chance of seeing the band before or after the show. I was sad about that. But at least I got to see them perform live. Even with all the crap involved from the cow poo smell in the air to the near brain damange from the juvie crowd, I would go through 10 times worse for Evanescence. If by chance anyone from the band reads this, thank you.

The concert was AMAZING! It would have been alot better tho, if you didn't have to fear for your life! Damn moshers! The mosh pits seemed to follow me everywhere! even when I was in the back during Seether. When Ev came up I tried to get as close as I could, but it wasn't as close as I hoped to get, but I could still see faces so it was close enough, then all the moshes pushed me back! but then before I knew it I was like 4 people away from the very very front row!!! And being that close I got alot of crowd surfers coming my way and after two of them, I learned to look back every few seconds for on coming surfers and moshes. Then I got too enthralled in the magic that is Evanescence and a crowed surfer fell on my head! The whole left side of my face and head was throbbing! My friend was looking at me trying to ask if I was ok but by that time I was already concentrating again hahaha! When I left the concert I had blood on my back! It wasn't mine though. And there was this hippie guy who kept protecting us from the moshers and the crowd surfers, haha! He was really nice!
I loved how Amy would put her hands out and twirl around! She is the best!
And how nice of them to come back out?! I really didn't expect them to.
Hey Bodhi, did you wear one of those evboard logos? I didn't see anybody w/ one on so I took mine off. And what were you wearing? That would be cool if I saw you but didn't know it was you, haha! I was wearing a white Emily shirt w/ a skull on it, but if you look at it in a diff way it is a girl looking in a mirror, w/ black pants w/ zippers and straps on them, and I had on my black dog collar w/ metal hoops and my hair is short and really red.
Amy looked amazing. She was wearing jeans with a white multi-layer skirt that looked like it could be the bottom half of a wedding dress. Then she was wearing a black and white striped tank top .
Sounds exactly like what Amy wore here in Ottawa

That's an absolutely fantastic review. You should post that in the Ev Chat forum. It's awesome to see reviews like that one :)
Glad you guys had fun! Sorry about the moshing, too...there wasn't too much of that at Philly and I'm glad.
But hey...sacrifice for the band ;) We at Philly sacrificed for the band by waiting for hours in pouring rain. You sacrificed by getting plastered to the people in front of you and getting thwacked with surfers ;) lol.
Sounded like a great concert! Rock on :D

I'm glad you guys had a good time... even with the cow crap and the moshing. I was pushed a lot at the Orlando show and it really sucked. It started when Seether first came on. It was hard to pay attention to Seether so I ended up missing most of their performance.

But I was hoping it would rain. It was so freakin' HOT!

I didnt have a logo, my printer is crap. I also didn't see anyone else wearing one. I was wearing a black shirt and jeans. Pretty basic. But I was the only guy like me I noticed. Big guy, long brown hair, sideburns, goattee, black polo style shirt, white under shirt, jeans, black boots, and my Evanescence merchandise clutched tightly in hand because they didn't have any bags and I wasn't about to walk the mile back to the car to put it away.
The review was dead on. The show was amazing. I limit myself on concerts for a reason. I don't want to see crap. If I go out, it's to see magic like this.

Little late on this.. I too attended the concert in Lubbock, it was amazing!!! My friend and i were able to sneak backstage and meet the guys from Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace before being spotted and thrown out of the Amp, lol. The guys were all yeliing for them to leave us in, but to no avail. I must say, all of the bands were amazing, but Evanescence rocked!! Amy Lee is awesome, and they are great live. Rock on!!!

Sorry this is really late but just wanted to tell yall that i too attended the lubbock concert; and not to brag or anything but i was in the front row-center right. it was so AWESOME!!!!! i have clear photos of all the bands and of Amy from a disposible camera! that is how close i was!! that concert rocked my face off! but it was hot and missrible i really wished there had been a breeze or that it had rained, but that is the price you have to pay sometimes to see the best! I was also really lucky to see another Evanescence concert, in Amarillo in 2003. i will always remember the first time i heared the voice of an angel, LIVE. anyways i really hope they come back to west texas, i would be willing to pay any price to see another concert like that!
