I'm considering flying down from NY for it, depending on how much money I have left after hitting up all the dates in the Northeast lol...A bit crazy, but it's the last show. I flew out to Las Vegas to see them so Little Rock's not as bad ;). I wonder if it'll be anything like the Boston show, the final date of their last tour with pranks/jokes and such...I'd love to experience that again. :)

And I totally agree about the US line-up. I'm so excited to see each of the bands. It's definitely gonna be awesome!

I'm sure there will be lots of pranks and fun since it is the end of the tour until the next album! :D

Yes, I think that Ticketmaster is the only way you can get tickets for the river. They don't have a box office except on the day of the show. :D

A little bit about the river:

Unless they've changed, there are three seating areas. Front pit, middle reserved, and lawn.

Don't get lawn if you want to see. 'Cause unless you get there reaaaaaally early, you'll be in the back. Those tickets are usually cheap, though.

I kinda want middle reserved seats. Not that I really plan on sitting. There just isn't a chance for a pit there. Mid-price range.

Front pit...People go crazy at LR shows. They *REALLY* get into it. These tickets cost the most 'cause they're right up front.

We are fired-up about the show. Hope to meet some EVboarders this trip. All the EVBoarders I have meet over the last year at shows have been very cool people. Great Band/Great Fans

To their credit... If it's 100+ F degrees on 8/14 (with 70 degree dewpoint), then this will be a good call. Heat index of 115 is nothing to fool around with.

Someone who has the ability to print members photos from all over the world could make a banner of them. Gil, Head etc... Maybe make a world map with pics over thier country. That is sure to get attention from the stations. We need to make this fun.

Dude, that would so rock! EvBoarders are gonna be travelling from all over for this show. Getting a TV station to cover is a great idea and would definitely be awesome! I hope everything works out with it. If not, just meeting everyone and having a great time with this massive EvBoard par-tay would suffice just fine. :)

I just got off the phone with Tommy Smith of Magic 105 and I informed him about our plans and that there would be people from all over the country that were thinking about attending the concert. He didn't say much but he kept talking about the golf tourny and the Inn. I ask each person who heard it to please not post the name and location of the Inn. I am not wanting publicity from this board or things that I do with the board. This is my retreat away form work and I would like to keep it that way. Tommy has been a friend for over 5 years and he always plugs the Inn when I call. I just miss radio and enjoy talking to him, but he keeps mentioning the Inn. There would not be a way to talk to him without him doing so. I just wanted to promote the EvBoard and the concert and our plans to get as much exposure as I can. Please respect my wishes.

Before the official site changed, they had the tour section updated with the new date and location. But for some reason, it didn't get changed when the site itself changed.

I'm not really sure about the white shirt thingie either. Not just totally against it but not really sure about it is all. Ya see if everybody signed the shirt when it got to Lauren signing it, I'd die right there on the spot and that'd just suck. Because then the people who really want to see the band will get the best seats. Usually people won't go as crazy to get a password, or even bother to find out pre sale information, unless they really really want to get great seats.

If you get the tickets during the presale, if there's General Admission, you have a better chance of getting that too :)

I hope that most people are going to wear something that denotes them as EvBoard members. It would benefit the board as well as help all of us meet each other. White or Black t-shirts would be easy to spot. Some people mentioned name tags. I would hope that Ev fans had more spirit than just a name tag that they can pull off.

I have seen tons of people wearing Evanescence t-shirts at the first show and they looked retarted. "Duh, we know that you like Ev or you wouldn't be here." The members of the EvBoard are an elite group of fans and we should honor the chance to spread the word about the Band and the Board. Support the band by supporting the fansite that loves the band. This board deserves all the attention that we can muster.

Come and join me this August 14th by wearing EvBoard somewhere on your person. In good taste and big enough so we can see it.

There are no seats on the floor. General Admission is standing room only.

As for whether you should go with general admission or with seating, that's up to you. If you want to be in the crowd or you'd rather have a seat, that's really your call. They're definitely two totally different experiences.

Depending on the crowd, you might be fending for your life (which is why Jeremy is my official bodyguard), but it's still an awesome experience. And hanging out with all the other evboarders will make it that much better. With seats, you always know that you'll be fine. Plus you won't have to show up early to get a good spot on the floor :)

There are rules for the people with GA tickets for this show. I got an email about it yesterday.

Floor access for the Evanescence show will be limited to only those
patrons with a floor ticket and wearing a floor wristband.

Wristbands will be distributed on August 14, 2004 on a first come
first serve basis at the main entrance of ALLTEL Arena
beginning at 4:30pm. Once a wristband is issued, the GA ticket will
be punched and you must stay on arena grounds. Wristbands will
not be "re-issued" for any reason. At door opening, scheduled
for 5:30pm, the main entrance will be opened for floor access to those
holding a ticket and issued wristbands. You will need both your
punched ticket and issued wristband for entry. Security and
police will be scheduled to monitor the crowd activity in this line
and insure patron safety. The line will be closed once the number
of people in line reaches the same number of wristbands to be
distributed.

No overnight camping is permitted on ALLTEL Arena grounds. No line
ups before 8:00am.

All patrons are subject to search.

The following items are not permitted in ALLTEL Arena: cameras
with detachable lenses, recording devices (audio or video), weapons,
knives, bottles, cans, fireworks, outside food, beverages, or alcohol,
laser pointers, spiked jewelry, chains (including those on wallets),
backpacks, large purses or bags, glow sticks, & other items deemed

Are you guys talking about Wild River Country? 'Cause that's the only waterpark here (that I know of...that isn't scary).

Stay in North Little Rock (or downtown Little Rock) if that's your plan. There isn't anything by the waterpark (and if there was, you really wouldn't want to stay there). There's a Holiday Inn near Alltel, I think. That seems to be a decent plan. If you're getting a rental car, then Wild River Country isn't terribly far away. Just get on the interstate for a bit.

I just remember getting harrassed by this security woman before the Tool show a couple of years ago...It was so bad that I called Alltel at 8am the next morning to complain. It was like she felt me up. Repeatedly. And I didn't even have a camera. She kept yanking up my shirt and trying to stick her hand in my pants. I told her I didn't have a camera and she still did it. It was soooo bad.

And at Prince, I had a little crappy 35mm (of the Wal-Mart variety) that I'd forgotten was in my purse. They told me to throw it away. Yeah, I'm serious. I told them I'd go put it in my car. So I walked around the corner, stuffed it in my bra, came back, and got through. I didn't even want pictures. I always used to have a camera in my purse.

So...Alltel security is sometimes weird. I'd love to have pics, but I'd hate to bring my (non-detachable lens) digital and they decide to take it.

I been to a ton of shows in NY and each time I go to a venue the rules always seem to be different. One time they don't care at all, while the next time they practically molest you.

Hmmm, that one's right next to the mall, and I used to live right behind it. It's a nice place. Not really close to the arena, though. Completely different part of town.

And looking at Travelocity, Wyndham is showing a rate of $64/night for each night, so if you're going through there, you can get it cheaper than $71/night.

Whatever works..just stick a drink in my left and a hottie in my right and I am peachy-keen.

Question to all of you going, what time do you normally go to the venue? And if you show up early, do you have a better chance of meeting the band? At the december show I didn't go early, but this time I'm going to and I wanted to know what the best time would be. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I've never tried to meet the band at a show before.

i'd like to go early..but im not sure. back in feb at the wiltern...bobby (lostsoul) was there at like 7 am cuz his ride had to go to school..but he said that about 10am or so, they had their sound check and the radio winners got to go and watch it, and they let the few others that were there go in and meet them and get autographs too. but the wiltern is a small venue..I'm thinking the Alltell probably has like..a lot of doors maybe? I don't know..Syd, is there like one place to line up, can you even line up early? Will they let you? Cuz I'd like to just camp out all day like we did last time..we all had a blast. we had our guitars and we were just rockin out to our own covers of ev songs lol..it didn't hurt that there was a mc donalds right down the block either! mwahahaha

ps..being there early also means we were in the front of the line...aka we were let in first so we were right up on the stage. no one in front of me except ev! i luved it!
and as far as meeting them, in l.a. the guys were all out in the back sparatically and i met all of them except for terry...amy came out at about 2am after the concert and so the 30 or so people that were still there got to meet her, terry and sean..i left about five minutes bfeore that! but its k, cuz i got to see her at pepsi smash and we had like a five second conversation. lol.

i live in little rock, so i am gonna be sooooo early. should there be a place where everyone on the evboard can meet, so we can push to the front of the crowd (those who have floor tickets)? like a certain spot at the arena, or whatever. someone could hold up a big sign.... LOL. it would be so much fun to meet the people behind the names!

Forgot to add that there's a Burger King directly across from the arena, and some more fast food places just across the overpass from Alltel.

well, since we're probably getting there like, late friday night..i plan on doing what i did last time. some one else from ev board can get there early, then i join them in line, cutting a bunch of other people. hahahahaha

I asked my mom to get me tickets for my birthday and she said to see how much they are.

Later she asked me how I was going to get there and I said drive. I told her if she was worried about my car I would just rent one. She said "you don't NEED to rent a car." "you can't drive in Little Rock"

So yeah, now she's not even thinking about getting me tickets. I don't know why she thinks driving is hard. I know how to drive...

Lauren, I just wanted you to know there was no disrespect for your mother intended in that last post. I understand about children growing up and still worrying about them. But it's not like you're saying, "Hey Mom, I want to go to Iraq and study the thought process of a terrorist up close and personal"...it's just driving to Little Rock for goodness sake. Ok. Here's a tidbit of info!

I just bought my tickets at Ticketmaster (at a grocery store). They are selling tickets about $5 cheaper than online. So If you're buying multiple tickets at a time, you'll save a little this way. i.e. 3 tickets will save you about $15.

Also, Those who live in Little Rock might want to consider getting tix at the Alltel Arena Box Office... that way you can avoid paying ticketbastard charges altogether.

Unfortunately, Alltel Arena only keeps banking hrs (9-5 weekdays) so I was not able to buy a ticket while in town for DH / 13x show tonight. But anywho.

Hope this helps those who haven't bought tickets yet. (better hurry though... this will sell out).
