Bleed
How can I pretend that I don't see
What you hide so carelessly?
I saw her bleed
You heard me breathe and
I froze inside myself and turned away
I must be dreaming
We all live
We all die
That does not begin to justify you
It's not what it seems
Not what you think
No, I must be dreaming
It's only in my mind
Not real life
No, I must be dreaming
Help - I know I've got to tell someone
Tell them what I know you've done
I fear you
But spoken fears can come true
We all live
We all die
That does not begin to justify you
It's not what it seems
Not what you think
No, I must be dreaming
It's only in my mind
Not real life
No, I must be dreaming
We all live
We all die
That does not begin to justify you
It's not what it seems
Not what you think
No, I must be dreaming
It's only in my mind
Not real life
No, I must be dreaming
Not what it seems
Not what you think
I must be dreaming
Just in my mind
Not real life
I must be dreaming

I've made sheet music to this song (arranged for piano). You can download it here (www.onlinerock.com/musicians/praetextus/Bleed.zip), zipped along with the tabs I adapted it from. I also made an instrumental, which can be found through my thread (http://www.evboard.com/showthread.php?t=26431).

Who wrote this song? Amy, Ben or David?
All three are credited with writing the song according to BMI, the song publishing company. It's the same for My Immortal and most other songs. Most of the time, they worked with each other on a song. David mostly dealt with piano arrangements and background music, while Amy and Ben seperately worked on the lyrics.

I think the way it went was that David and Ben would come up with the key, the riff and the chords, then Amy would write the melody and the lyrics. I'm sure David said it worked that way in some interview.

Really? I always thought that it really brought her voice out... just my opinion... I really love everything about all their songs, so I really don't have anything to say other than their music is the BEST I've EVER heard... they are the ones who've inspired me to write, play the electric guitar, and see things through so many different perspectives. I actually appreciate so much more than what I ever had before. (ex: life, the world we live in, and everything I have. Like my mom, dog, and cat!)

This song is most likely the best Evanescence song that has ever been made. Something about it is just so epic and sorrowful (in a good way).. I love it so much.. I would hope the follow-up CD for Fallen will contain tracks like these.. next to "Missing", this song is just so.... ah words can't describe it..

Does anyone have any idea why this song isn't included on the dicography page at exodusevanescence.com?

I guess so. I tried finding contact information to ask about it but I couldn't find any. Oh well. It's a good thing I found this thread because I totally forgot about the song and I need to download it again.

If anyone has an audio-editing program, increse the pitch on this song about 3-4 1/2 steps, and this is Christina Aguilera when she was 8 yrs old. It's hard to tell the difference. This songs amazing at a pitch a little higher.

The only downside to this song is that her voice sounds distant. Don't get me wrong, now. I love this song. Top 15 material! We don't get her full vocal efffect, if that makes any sense.

I did that... and it doesn't sound very much like Amy anymore... but I actually like it... it sounds kind of creepy... hehe. I like how the guitars and background vocals sound at this pitch. :D
Did Christina really sound like this when she was 8? Interesting....
:edit:
Do the same thing on Lacrymosa... the strings and guitar solo sound amazing. :-)
