I don't see any threads on this, so here we go. I was wondering if anyone had bought blink's new CD.
I bought it today, and I think it's amazing. The sound is the same, yet different. They decided to ditch the potty humor too. Some songs don't really jump out at me, but some capture more than any Blink has song since Adam's song.
So buy it..NOW. If you don't have it already.

Heard one of the new songs last week...
You know what I can't stand??
Bands that do the same damn thing album after album!
No offense, SP. Repetitiveness just really gets to me.

It's okay, I'm used to blink bashings. I've been getting them since I was a wee 'yin.
But their new CD is quite different from their other's. Maybe you just have to be a big Blink fan to see that..

I don't mind listenin to them once in a while, but I can't stand them the majority of the time. Easiest music to play, and it gets annoying, but not bad stuff for once or twice.

Well I haven't gotten it yet but I am planning on getting it this week along with Lp Live in Texas. I like Blink and think that they're a good band if your not to judgmental on their music and image. I just like to listen to them cause their fun to listen to and I enjoy some of there funny songs. Especially the Tom, Mark, and Travis show :D

OMG I love it.
It redeems them for the wrongs that were "Take Off Your Pants And Jacket" and "Enema Of the State". It's seriously that good.
They've got songs on there that sound DJ Shadowish, the Strokesish, and a bunch of other "-ish"s, but like.. Blink at the same time. They definitely widened their cocktail, and the experimental feeling of it is just... awesome. Like, really really good. Best thing since I don't know how long, and I've listened to them for maybe 8 years. Heh.

I dislike the new single.
The video strangely reminds me of that lesbian band Tatu.
Plus it just doesn't have that same Blinkness it did when ...Scott? (I think that was the previous drummer) was in the band. Not saying that Travis sucks, but I liked their old stuff better.

Blink 182 was my sister's first favorite band so I got into them at a young age. I have grown away from them lately, but I do respect the band. I have watched their creative process and they really do care about their music and their fans. I am going to get their new CD to check it out and support the band. I'll tell you how I like it.

You see if I had money I would have bought it by now but I'm flat out broke which isn't helped by the fact that I have to get everyone xmas presents too. But I'm really looking forward to getting it.
Its strange. I was a walking blink advertiser last week being covered in stickers and all and I still havent actually bought it.

I never really listened to their older material. I was never that really up to date with the rock scene until I got satellite TV at the beginning of this year, and I'm still not really "up to date" with it :p we don't have a lot of rock people in my area (I mean, there are...but I don't know any) so yeah, I'm just aware with a different genre's current scene without the aid of radio/TV/internet much. Anyways...my attention span is garbage...but I previewed their album at fye about a month ago and it was ok, I didn't want to buy it tho. I did like I Miss You and do like Down tho, good songs :D

i used to be COMPLETELY obsessed with blink a coupla years ago. now i've gotten over them and gotten into much better bands like evanescence, nightwish and linkin park. But i still like the past passed pop-punk style they started. and now i love sum 41 who pretty much play the same style as blink anyway.

yeah, i guess i'm more of a sum41 than a blink, but blink is still pretty damn good!
