I'm sorry if this has been discussed somewhere, I didn't find the answers. Who has composed the David Hodges and Amy Lee collaborations Breathe and Fall Into You? Are they originally David's songs? I've heard also Jaci Velasquez singing Breathe.

I am 100% sure that Breathe is not a David original. I'm not so sure about Fall Into You.

I believe that Breathe has been covered multiple times.

I think that Fall Into You is by David...but I don't know about Breathe. I'm going to listen to Cfw since he tends to be right a lot lol.

Breathe is a christian song eh? that explains why i've never heard it before...haha anyway. does it really matter if it is a christian song or if Ev was a christian band? [even though we know they're not] Ev would be amazing either way.

breathe is a christian song, we sung it in church long before i ever heard david and amy's version. that song is so pretty! but david did write fall into you. he is a really good piano player/composer.

Thanks for the information. I did knew that Breathe is a Christian song. You can hear it in the lyrics. I don't think that it's strange that Amy and David recorded a Christian song although Evanescence is not a Christian band. I've understood that Breathe and Fall Into You are not actually Evanescence songs. They haven't been published in Evanescence cds. Both Breathe and Fall Into You are different style than the band songs. They're very beautiful though. I like especially Breathe a lot.

I love Away From Me (David sings in that right?) and Where Will You Go. I kind of hope Evanescence releases a new version of each on another album but then again, without the vocals of Mr. Hodges, it wouldn't be the same.
Fall Into You is a great song and while I'm not particularly a religious individual, I can feel the spirituality when I hear it.

That's very true. Some people were saying that they would love a new version of Anywhere (David and Amy sing together on it) and I kept thinking it would be strange without David.

I love David's stuff. He puts his heart into his music and I think that's why it becomes to appealing.

Fall into you is also my favorite Amy/David collaboration.

Sorry to bring back an old topic, but I was listening to Breathe the other day, and noticed a 3rd vocalist in the song. So I sent it to someone (who's name shall not be uttered here), and he was sure the 3rd vocalist was none other than a certain Mr. Ben Moody.

Any truth behind this? I haven't heard Ben's singing voice, so I wouldn't know.

Oh yes, now I hear him too. I didn't notice it before but there's certainly a third voice in the background. It may be David's voice mixed but it sounds so different to his normal voice that it may be a third person. I still have no idea who he might be. I've only heard that the song is sang by David and Amy.

Breathe appears in the Summit Church collection. That album has been sold out now. I think Fall Into You is from David's solo album but I'm not sure of that. The artist in both is David Hodges feat. Amy Lee.

I fell in love with those two songs the first time I heard them! I just love sitting at the piano and playing those two time and time again... :)
