Amy had a sister named Bonnie, who passed away when Amy was six, and Bonnie was only at the age of three.
So I don't even know, if this is actually an Ev song, or at least one that Amy wrote??:rolleyes::confused:

This is an Ev song, sort of...it was written a very long time ago, but there's no proof if it has ever been recorded or not, and almost no one has even heard it. That's part of what has me confused with this, along with it "maybe" being about Amy's sister...since she has two sisters right now, but neither of their names are Catherine.

Yeah. My friend had a recording of it. I don't know how she got it but she let me hear it once. But that was a while ago and I havn't been able to find a copy of it since. I wish I could. And no, it's not on YouTube.

Well if you look at the first post, on page 2, you'll see that Amy and Ben wrote it in a movie theater parking lot and played it live to about 25 people, once or twice, in a coffee shop.

I had never even known there was such a song until now...someone obviously recorded Amy singing it in the coffee shop or something...

There was speculation about this song a few years ago, and it was cleared up eventually...I think mods and people said it wasn't a song which was public, or something. Now the question reappears. :S

I saw you guys debating the name Catherine on the first page. Some of you are confused because it isn't her sister's name, but there's no need to use a real name. I am a songwriter, but I never use real names..

I know there is something about it not only on the other page in this thread but also on the Evanescence reference page it says that it was "recorded and played a few times in little rock". Not necessarily saying that it was done in studio but it's still a small possibility.

It is a song...but Amy and Ben wrote it in a parking lot or something and they only played it live for a few people...so I don't think it was ever recorded :-(....I wanted to hear it!

wow this is really interesting. in my opinion there is a small possiblity that it was recorded. someone could have been at that show in the coffeeshop with a digital camera just recording away. yes the possiblity is small but its still there. if there is such a song i would love to hear it. But, if this song was written by ben and amy it definitely would have been all over the net ages ago, so i dont know how it has made it this long without being recognized.

First of all, she can't handle "Hello" or "Like You" live for us even now. I really doubt that it is about the sis. I think that she would have been to emotional to actually perform it if it were. I will have to say, I do agree with you on this one!
It is true, Amy has not or will never perform those two songs live,
because she would just absolutely break right down on stage.
I don't think it has anything to do with her sister Bonnie.
I don't even like to mesion this, because it would only upset Amy,
even though she does not login to Evboard, I still have enough respect
for her.
But my point is that the song, my guess has nothing to do with Amy's
little sister.
