Hello.. I have a simple question about the chat: Does it work? Because I try to chat but I can't. I can't connect myself and I can't choose a channel. I wanted to know is someone else has this problem.

I managed to connect and join the channel. Until Biff got angry at me :)

Yes, I have the same problem...I tried to use the chat yesterday but I can't connect...Maybe it depends on the internet connection...or on the version of internet...it is also possible that I need a special program to use it...I don't know...

I've tried it on both Firefox and IE, hasn't worked in either always says "Software caused connection abort" what software is that?

Yeah, mine does that too. It used to work, but then one day out of the blue, it just ...stopped.

I asked Dhamma, and he said he's not sure. Stringerr said try and reinstall Java. I did, and it didn't work, but it might for someone else.

It may be that your firewall is blocking traffic on port 6667. If you're going to be serious about IRC at all, I strongly recommend installing a real IRC client. See this thread. (http://www.evboard.com/showthread-t_25170.html)

This may be a stupid question, but, are there other people in that chat other than Evboarders? And which channel do we use?

Usually, everyone in the chat room is an EvBoarder. One is a former EvBoarder.

If you click on the Chat now! link above, it'll directly connect you to the #evboard channel. :)

Downloading that actual client is not an option for me.

I tried it yesterday, didn't work with Firefox. I gave it a shot today and it did. So, I don't know what's up with that.

Maybe I'll try IE, wasn't working for a lot of yesterday too. I need another place to idle.

it wont evenlet me connect at all. when i type /join#evboard it says not connected but never lets me connect
