Uh... this is weird problem but i looked it up in webmd first and all i got with "chest pain" or "chest pressure" and it just gave me heart attack and heart disease- and Im pretty certain I dont get either at age 16.

Sometimes when I eat or drink, my chest feels like its being crushed or is constricting to the point where...i dunno, its like a slow, paralyzing pain. Heres an example of one very extreme case that just happened:

I was just eating dinner, and I have to take small bites because I got new bands/braces thingies so my teeth really really really hurt. Anyway, I eat and suddenly, it happens- my chest feels like its being...crushed or isnt moving and the pain feels like an earthquake- it has an epicenter and radiates out. So my dads talking to me as I have this excruciating crushing feeling as im eating or finishing swallowing...and all I can do is look around and then go to the bathroom. But i take a few big breaths and the pain starts to lift.

It happens usually when Im eating. I dont think its a chronic health problem- i just wanna know what it is and whats happening? Anyone know?

sometimes i get pain in my chest when im eating as well, i always thought it was indigestion i have heard that can be very painful and makes people think they are having a heart attack. but i dont know

What are the symptoms?

The main symptoms of indigestion are:

Pain, which may be in the upper part of the abdomen or the chest. This may not always be related to eating.
Heartburn, a burning pain caused by reflux (regurgitation) of the stomach's contents back up the oesophagus (gullet). The medical term for the condition is gastrooesophageal reflux (GORD). The pain is normally felt in the centre of the chest or behind the sternum (breastbone). If severe, it can be hard to distinguish from a heart attack.
Loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting.
Flatulence, burping or belchingi got this from here http://hcd2.bupa.co.uk/fact_sheets/html/Dyspepsia.html

if you are still worried, you should go and see a doctor i think

You are right, it probably isn't a chronic health problem, but there are many things that it could be, from the description its probably something with your esophagus. You might want to try stomach pain and stuff on webmd rather than the chest pains. If you still can't find anything, I'd advise going to the doctor, because it might be something simple that can be very easily remedied, or it could be something serious, a doctor is definitely a good idea.

I guess I could say I sometimes get the same thing...

But I don't know if it's like a crushing pain.. To me it feels more like something is backing up and that's causing the pain... But, yeah, it does get pretty bad. Sometimes I can relate it to sitting or laying down improperly, sometimes it seems to relate to eating. Who knows. Hopefully all is for the best though.

that happens when I eat too fast. Or when I eat bread products. Try eating slower, and make sure to concentrate on your breathing when you eat. When it happens to me, it is almost always followed by a round of hiccups, and a few burps too. I am not sure what causes it, but i think it has something to do with too much air getting into the digestive system, thus leading to the burping hiccups. the diaphram contracts, causing the hiccups, at the same time the stomch tries to expel the air.

i've never been to a doctor for it, but i probably should ask him about it next time i see him. I know it can be very painful, and it almost brought me to tears once.

Any sort of buring pain in the esophagus? that could be acid reflux as well.
