im going to east surrey college and studying graphic design/fine art :)

I'm going back to Hugh Baird College in Bootle, Liverpool and completing the second part of my Art A-Level. :)

hey! im going to hull college to do a foundation degree then a BA in acting! i've just finished at east norfolk sixth form college where i did drama film studies and eng lit! have fun at college! it rocks!

I'm going to west notts college to do fashion design.

I'm going to Tytherington sixth form to study maths, i.t, sociology and psychology :)

So is anyone else moving away from home to go to University? I am, about 150 miles away at the opposite end of my country (so Wales is small. I didn't build it!), but still it's far enough away to make me really nervous about being on my own, what if I run into some kind of trouble?!

If anyones going to the univerity of Glamorgan in south wales the capuse is good but very hilly lol. Although the pub at the bottom round the corner is great lol

nasty. i started secondary school in a class where i only had a couple of friends in. everyone else seemed to know each other already. maybe that made me more shy. dunno. but college isn't as bad, so you should be ok. there's less people there than school, depending on where you're going. hopefully you'll find some new friends! good luck!

i live in great yarmouth and i'm going to fucking hull to uni! waaa! it's like 6-7 hours away!!!!! i'm gonna be further away (lyricwhore) than i've ever been before!!! omfg! kinda exciting in a shit my pants kinda way!

hehehe college/uni rocks, you'll love it! Freedom and friends everywhere. And it's usually much more accepting of things than High School. So if you're a goth or a metallar, or a vampyr or a witch king... you won't get stones thrown at you quite so often by the townies!

Hard work though... much more so than A-Levels.... they all say that right!!! Naaa it's not that bad... depends on your course I guess. I am lucky enough to be studying something I really enjoy, final year now finally (it's taken a while lol!) Doing the work isn't so hard when you love it!

Totally agree, everyone is so nice, only problem is i have lessons from 9.30am to 4.30pm, except on friday i have lessons from 9.30 to 12.30. I like it and the course looks good, im doing fine art/graphic design/textiles.
The good thing is after a few months i get to select out of the 3 which one i would like to do for the 2 years. :)

hey so a month in now!!! how's everyone doing? ive been at uni for nearly 2 weeks now! it's gone really quick! i have my first performance in like 8 weeks! eep! but im making friends and it's really good! we have a party on wednesday and it was such a laugh.. but now we've had some grump in the building complain about the noise!!!!!!! i was like "omfg this is uni not the geriatric ward!!! get a life!" it was our first party and already complaints!!!!! meh!

anyone else had parties yet?

I'm doing a business studies degree...yeah its about as much fun as it sounds....I mean the whole being a student rocks but the lectures...

I haven't had any parties as i am living at home...dont think the parents would appreciate the noise/mess hee hee. Have been to a few though and i am finding that lectures are a hastle to your social life hee hee. :)

thats why i did drama!!!!! hehehe the theory stuff is so boring but the rest is great! i only have to go in on monday, wednesday and friday afternoon!!!!!!! it's sooo good! oh and after this module i'll get friday's off for a while too!!!! w00t! but when it gets to production time we'll have to do loads of extra rehearsals in our own time!

*bubbles with envy* I have a 10-4 day monday & tuesday, 10-12 day wednesday and a 10-3 day thursday...get friday off wooo an extra long weekend. Thats about the only thing good about my course other than the drinking buddies i have picked up mua ha ha! However i am thinking of picking up a language aswell...so i'll lose my fridays hmm.

oooooo i do 10am-4pm on monday but i have a 2 hour lunch!!! and then we have to go back for a 2 hour rehearsal from 5pm-7pm! then wednesday is 9am - 5pm but with 2 breaks! then friday is 1pm - 5pm with no break!!!!! :(

yeh i really wanna learn spanish! i started at the beginning of my second year at college but i had to quit coz it was too much with my other courses! but ive been talking to GilMod a lot lately and now i wanna take it up again!!! i just love the language! it's so ... sexy! hehehehehheheheheh :p

Well i want to pick up Welsh 'cos its like a language i should speek being welsh and all but i dropped it like 4 years ago and i really regret it now. I get a 2 hour lunch break EVERY DAY!!! hee hee...forgot to mention that. I have a 14 hour week. not all that bad is it? :)

kirsty, you should learn french and be like morticia addams! hehe! or manuel... ¿que? sounds like you're having fun but i'm glad i don't have to do any of the work! so i think i can live without the social side if it comes at that cost! but enjoy your time there everyone! and get degrees and enjoyable, well-paid jobs and then buy me tickets to see ev live in the future. go on. you know you want to. :)

krissu i go to strodes college as well..... but its in surrey. :p I got really excited then coz i thought that there was another evboarder at my college.

I was going to do a module language but then I didn't. Maybe next year. My timetable is like... weird. I have at least one lecture every day but sometimes on Fridays I won't have one and some weeks I will have a 3 hour practical or some such stuff. I don't have more than 3 lectures a day (Tuesdays) I like Wednesdays and Thursdays because my only lecture is at 3. Does kind of ruin the day but at least it's only one hour! The rest of the time I'm out with my bessie here (Charlotte) who's from Liverpool. I've met so many Liverpudlians here! 3 of my new friends are from there. I actually love the Scouse accent, I luuuuuurve it! Nobody else I know likes it but I think it's "pure boss" so everyone who doesn't can just frig off! It's my second favourite accent after Italian in general so hahaha!

I'm having so much fun here!

Well gotta go on all the other threads then go to bed, I'm so damn tired!!
