I was wondering if it was any way possible to convert Windows Media Player files like .wma and .wmv to QuickTime movies such as .mov or .mpg or .mpeg? My friend told me it needed a special program to convert them. Or is it even possible? I have an eMac that is Mac OS X Version 10.3.5.

You can get WMP for Mac OS. Google search brings up this (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=wmv+player+for+mac).

And here (http://www.moviecodec.com/thread/397.html) is a thread from another forum discussing the topic. There's a few links in there you might like to try out.

I use "Advanced X video converter". It changes your wma file to mpg, mpeg, avi, svcd, vcd... . It has never failed me!. It's the best converter I've come across with. Very well worth downloading ;) Hope this helps. http://www.download.com/Advanced-X-Video-Converter/3000-2194_4-10326561.html?tag=lst-0-1
The trial version puts the symbol of the program in the video output. But if you buy it, it goes away. This program rocks!. Really.
