Yes it is possible. You can either change it yourself if you buy this option in the vbPlaza, or just ask Chris or one of the smods to do it.

I did it, I use to go by my real name, but then I changed it.....
to something that I thought would fit better!
Thats the great thing about the board, you can do so much here,
more then any other site I have ever been on!!

For other people who might not know about this option - you can find it here (http://www.evboard.com/vbplaza.php?do=action&itemid=1) and must have 5000 points that are not kept in the bank.
