well if anyone listens to 102.1 the edge, u probaly know about their fan club called The Inside Edge. and members of the inside edge can buy concert tickets before anyone else, to join just go to www.edge.ca and follow the links.... but im not exactly sure how u can buy the ticket through them yet. im gonna have to call them when i get home. hope that helps! :)

It is GA no seats but the seat #is 5 31/ 5 30 Got them at ticketmaster in my city. Sat 10am on the nose.

i know some of it is standing, but my ticket says GA2 and the 2 besides the GA kinda makes me nervous.

i bought my ticket tonight, and u have nothing to worry about, theres still tickets left and its all general admission so it doesnt matter when u buy ur ticket, as long as u get there early enough u can make it to the front :)

Any Evboarders waiting out front before the concert should have a certain action so other Evboarders can notice them. Like maybe jumping up and down, or swinging one leg back and forth, or keeping your hand on your chin... lol I dunno it's crazy but it just might work...

(good thing to cause i was just about to give up) just answered 3 skill testing questions and scored 2 wristbands :D

I'm in Hamilton and I'll be leaving around 3 pm to go see the show. I know its GA but the weather is pretty crappy. Is anybody meeting anywhere?

Bleh. I can get there, but can't get back unless I cab it, so guess what, I AM! It'll be expensive but it's worth it for Evanescence.

I'm taking the Malton Bus at 5PM. I prolly won't get there till like 7 when it starts but whatever. At least I'll be there. I heard it's only like 3hrs15mins long which is perfect, I can get home early as I have an exam tmrw.

The doors open at 5, but the show dosen't start untill 7pm? Does anyone know what time all the bands will be going on at?

The show was good though I thought it could've been better. Maybe it was the venue or something, or the long wait outside in the cold. I don't think it was the band, just the whole experience wasn't as awesome as I thought it would be. Ev's set was very entertaining though, a little loud at some points overpowering Amy's vocals but that seems to happen at every rock show. I think my favorite song of the night was Imaginary . . . though Haunted/Going Under were amazing too. Even In Death was a nice treat. Would have loved to have heard Hello. My Immortal was awesome with the full band coming in.

Hope they come back soon and play a different venue.

i just got back too, and im VERY happy with the way tonight went :D

my favourite was taking over me, further away, and even in death, i was so happy when they played it i didnt think it was possible :)

i got there around 5 30 and didnt actually get in the place until 7 00, btw my hands didnt warm up until finger eleven was done :(

i got a pretty decent spot, i was happy with it, during seether i had a full view of the whole band, which was really nice, then during finger eleven i was getting blocked pretty bad, btw im 5'6 :( i felt more sorry for some shorter girls who were getting frustrated cuse they couldnt find ANY spot to see, lol, soon as finger eleven were done i started pushing up to get a closer spot, which worked surpisingly, haha, i had a nice view of amy the whole time, i thought it was an awesome set, the crowd surfing was so wicked, lol, if u werent paying attention u got smacked in the head by someones shoe coming over you, haha after a bit people kept getting paranoid and looking back to see if any one was coming, there was one strong guy next to me absoultely heaving everybody into the air, some of them fell right to the floor though, lol, at one time when i wasnt paying attention this guy fell right beside me and everyone thought he was hurt bad but he got straight up and started waving his hands and banging his head, lol was nice to see everyone else laughing along :) anyway this is more than i wanted to type, i got wendys drive thru on the way home and im starving so ill talk more when im done eating =P

Evanescence was awesome. I told someone standing nearby that I wished they'd play "Even In Death", but that I didn't expect them to. When it came up next, I (being completely taken by surprise) screamed, "YES! I love this song!" and bounced around like an idiot. The people next to me probably thought I was a freak. :D Was I mishearing things or did Amy really say it's going to be on the next album?

I'm disappointed that more people didn't seem to recognize "Farther Away" and "Breathe No More". I couldn't spot anyone else singing along.

Okay, it was a blast seeing Evanescnece live, and they really tried to put on a good show, but whoever was in charge of the sound system should be shot. It was far to loud for the venue, with serious distortion being almost continuous throughout the set, except for a couple of the quieter ballads. On top of that, they sounded muddy for a lot of their guitar heavy songs. Here I'm sure it wasn't the venue that was to blame, since Finger Eleven sounded fairly clean throughout their set. All I can conclude is that some genious figured Evanescence needed to be twice as loud as thier lead in band, regardless of how distorted they sounded.

It got so bad at times that Amy sounded like she was on helium when hitting the high notes, a quivering and grating screech.

It was pretty much the same for Seether. When Amy joined Shaun to sing a song, no one around me had a clue what they they singing. It was all noise.

But what the hey, I was ten or so feet off of centre stage and got to see Amy and crew give it either all, which was fun. I just wish I didn't need to pop a cd in car while going home to remember what they were supposed to sound like.

Im sorry you guys didnt think the concert was as good as it could have been :( ......The sound problem happened at the gig I went to but luckily it was only the support acts, Amy's sound could have been turned up a bit but again I was front row :D and could hear her pretty well-I wouldnt like to think about the people at the back though :?

Ok The show was awsome. I couldn't come on when I got home I was so tired. I was like 3 people from the stage untill I had to be pulled out during the finger eleven portion because i fainted from lack of oxygen. And what freaked me out was I have never fainted before in my life and I have been to many concerts whit people very close like that, everyone was so freaking close together. Im not closterphobic but was last night you couldn't move. But the crowd sure moved when I sain I needed to get out NOW. So I lost my spot and for an hour I was with the paramedics I laughed when the paramedics first questions were "did you drink alcohol? Or do any drugs? The chick made me laugh when she said that Im not a Narc. But my blood pressure droped (i am usually 120 over 80) to like 70 over 50 and my pulse was so week it took them a while to find it, I thought I was dying. Anyway I just got back to the crowd just before EV was on. The show totally rocked. I so want to go to another even with my bad experience. And I waited around for a bit after the concert to see if the band would come out at all but no luck, I would have loved to meet them. BUT THE SHOW KICKED ASS.

The show was a blast. Yes, the sound could have been tweeked a little bit, especially the highs, but they still put on a kick ass performance. My only complaint was standing in the cold to get in. We got there around 3:30 and didn't get in till 6:30 or so. I talked to a lot of Ev fans, and everyone was pumped about seeing them live for the first time. Now that I think about it, I should have went and hung out by the tour bus to get the band to sign my shirt or whatever while we waited another hour and a half or so to get out of the parking lot.

Your right about the concert being awesome. It would have been icing on the cake to get a shiirt or a cd signed, but oh well..maybe next time. I'm just glad I got to see them.

If that were that case, why was Amy being freqently drowned out by her own band, despite her best efforts? Even when she was only being accompanied by the base guitar? The mixing was terrible. They seemed to finally get it right for the last couple of songs (Tourniquet, Imaginary, Whisper), but Amy's voice was still at times unnaturally high and distorted.

If the soundman truly is as awesome as you say, mabye then Amy did take helium before the concert :rolleyes: Can't be any other explaination for what came out of those speakers.

I realize for the true blue always will be for like ever and ever fan that nothing I can say can dissuade them from believing the sound at the concert wasn't dead on perfect, so what the hell.

And as a side note, Breath No More is one of my favorite Ev tunes, so it was a pleasant surprise to them perform it.

For those of you complaining about the sound, it depends where you were in the audience. If you were any closer than the fenced up region near the middle (not the one at the front, the one in the middle of the crowd) then the amps should be drowning out anything that comes through the PA. That's by design. And if you were directly in front of one of the amps, it's even worse. I notice it with female singers all the time, they usually don't have the kind of power in their voice and get drowned out... for those of you wondering why F11 and Seether sounded better.

I mainly think the bass guitar drowned out everything else (I think that was Will), not only Amy's voice but the other guitar and some of the drums. It was just way too overpowered. Besides, they should have compensated for the less powerful female vocals instead of just accepting it as part of having a female lead singer. I was up front about 6 people back from the fence and on the left corner of the "U" in the fence. The tall guy with a off-white shirt on and seemed to piss everyone behind him off simply by being tall ;) I heard it sounded better back further but damn, I wanted it to sound good where I was :)

And than I didn't get to meet the band. I think this is just the venue because when Korn was there a week before security was just telling people to leave.

Well, the laws of physics mean that there's no way you can get it to sound good all over the place. You being on the left side would be hearing a lot Will's amp. Basically, since the sound technicians can't hear from all over the audience, they set up the sound so that it sounds best right where they are. So if you want to hear all the vocals/PA/keyboard/etc. get as close as you can to the soundboard. A sound guy showed the best spots once and I walked around the whole concert and it made a huge difference where you were. Rule of thumb no matter what the size of the venue is that the first 5-10 rows will hear too much from the amps, drowning out the vocals. Also when walking around, I found a "dead" spot right in front of the bass amp, even though I was quite far back. I hope that explains it a bit better... because I used to criticize sound guys too but they can't make it perfect for everyone.

That was an awesome concert! Though, my only complaint is that I really only heard the music and a bit of John and Rocky's heads..heh, but then again I am 5'4 and was standing behind some 6'2 guys...It was fun cause we met some people who were really cool, we were all trying to find a tunnel through people...But we never did haha. Ah well, still a good show. I'd hoped they play Imaginary, and was rather happy when they did:) Breath No More was also good. I was also hoping to hear Lies, but they cna only play so many songs.. :( Excellent concert, they have to come back soon..And I swear I will get there first so that I am not behind skyscraper like people lol.

I thought the concert was fantastic. I was standing in the middle and to the right and I had no difficulty with sound, everything seemed to blend nicely.

I suppose it does depend on where you are in relation to the amps.

I read once that Amy Lee wasn't as good a singer when the band played live (compared to the recordings) by whoever said that's a liar and on crack. She was literally perfect.

The new guitarist (I dont even remember his name) looked like he held each song without problems, so I'm relieved to see that much.

I'm one of the many people who didnt recognized the non-Fallen songs. I need to put more effort into getting their old/unreleased stuff i guess :(

I should say that a lot weighed in the balance ay that show. Looking forward to it since Feb, and being completely taken over by Evanescence in the last 10 months or so, I have embraced them with all the Love of a 14 year old discovering their first favourite band.
If they played a bad show, I was really set up to be disappointed. I did allow for a certain margin of error. I accounted for heavy touring, a possible tired voice, the Ben thing, and so on, but my heart wanted them to fulfill my hopes.
Let me tell ya, it was

ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING I DREAMED OF.

Sure, that venue is messed, and sure I was on my toes peering through taller people, but it's a rawk show and you know what to expect. I was 1/2 way back and the mix sounded great! Sound was no problem for me, however I did notice too much high end on Amy's voice.
Speaking of THE voice, which in my mind is always the hardest thing to get right in a live performance, she came through, baby. BIGTIME. She's the real deal, end of story. Better than any TV performace, to say the least.
I don't know what it is, because I'm no kid, but man do I ever get emotional about this band. When they played BMTL and all of a sudden, like 20 people all went up and started to surf, I had tears. It was very emotional. They way that song builds and finally peaks is VERY powerful live. I havn't been that excited at a show since I saw Metallica for the first time in 1990 when I WAS a kid.

Well done, thank you thank you thank you. I love Evanescence sooo much more now, and I didn't know that was possible. I have been left with all the exuberance of a child, and that is a very special thing and something to be embraced.

Did anyone else notice how the security guards were like the gestapo at this show? I went to get my sweater that had fallen off during the concert, and they screamed at me a million times. SIEG HIEL MEIN FUTHER!

Anyway, it was the best night of my life. I was so close to Amy, I could count the zits on her face. (She had none. :D)

I didn't have any problems with the security guys at all. In fact, they were letting me in a side entrance of the beer gardens whenever I went to the washroom so I didn't have to wait. I did get a funny look from one security dude when I was standing in the middle of the floor for My Immortal and I lit a joint. (Hey, its a concet!) I find it hard to believe that in that concert review for the show they said that Evanescence has no substance. Have they even listened to falled or Origin? I HATE reading music reviews from people who dont have a clue what they are talking about. They are almost as bad as the people who walk slow in front of you in the malls.

It was "Broken", not "Fine Again". And I've been trying for the last month to find a version of the duet on Kazaa to no avail :(

This concert was the best birthday present of all time!!! I turned 21 :D Evanescence was awesome!! Finger eleven too!! they are my fave bands.

It was Even in Death they sang. I was in the moshpit for the whole concert and it was awesome!! although, being short sucks because, of course, all the tall people stand in front of me!! but I did get some awesome views! I love the pit!!

Yup! I was in the pit for the whole concert! well except near the end of Evanescence's set. My brother fainted and I had to get him out of there! I got aroung 6 feet from the stage!

Ya peeps at the concerts are really helpful, once you get knocked down you have a whole bunch of people helping you get up again.

It was great though, I couldn't have been more satisfied (unless they stayed through the night). I liked it better than the LP concert that I went to on sunday. (might have something to do with me being in the nosebleeds section)

I would totally take getting roughed up in the pit over the noesbleed! there is also something about being right in the middle of a rockin crowed

I had school the day they started selling so my mom had to buy them ... didn't suprise me when i saw we didnt have floor :rolleyes:

man that concert was AMAZING... my first concert ever and i loved it... my friend fell over in the mosh pit :D.... when we got past security we looked and saw the stage OPEN!!! there was like no one in front of there (probably because most people were busy in coat check which we didn't go to) so we rushed to the front and we were on the left. IT was sooooooo much fun i was gettin' pushed around a little bit when finger 11 came on but finger 11 was GREAT. and to my surprise SEETHER was AMAZING.... after that i downloaded all their songs and now LOVE THEM!.... and Evanescence of course was OUTSTANDING.... they played every song i wanted them to play especially "Farther away" in which i finally heard a "good version" of the song (not a messed up mp3)...... It was all worth the agony of getting there and the stress that went in to getting the tickets and driving 2 hours in extremely bad conditions to get there.....

anybody remember the set list from the concert?

and did any one record anything also (audio)??? please let me know!

For most of us Torontonians this is the one-year anniversary of our first Evanescence concert. And WOW just look at what has happened over the past year. I mean this concert was of the start of our addiction :p:D … I’m just thinking of all the people I have met through the EvBoard and at other Ev concerts and I just wonder how many of us might have bumped into each other at this first concert and not even have realized it:D

And it was also this concert the re-ignited my passion for live music again:D which I am completely grateful for:D

my friend went to that one, i went to the one in July, i wonder why they came back twice here, i mean mississauga isn't that far from Molson but they played different songs i believe....i guess they just love toronto :D

it was my first "rock concert". hehehe!!!!!
and i had a really good spot in the crowd too.
wow what an experience :D now look at me!!!!! i can't get enough of Ev :)

Man that concert jebuness! lol I swear I was in complete awe. I was like look maria you made it to evanescence rofl! heh, I can't wait for more concerts! Hope I run into the ev board Toronto invasion again hehehehehe :P This time I say Willow keep the tradation alive and make us all bring the canadian flags heheheh!
