I was reading on IMDB (imdb.com), and found many interesting uh, hate topics about Uwe Boll.

Just for future reference, Uwe Boll brought you House of the Dead, which was a huge loss of money- and has just wrapped up Alone in the Dark (alone-in-the-dark.com (http://www.alone-in-the-dark.com)), and is already signed onto movies for BloodRayne, Fear Effect, and Far Cry (coming soon).

He claims he made HOTD so cheesy and pointless so the audience would have fun- no plot, no thinking involved, really.

Even the music he picks is not exactly 'in' with the movie. Hes putting thrasher and metal into Alone in the Dark. (If anyone hasnt played that game- its just a very eerie, creepy game). And he put rap-rock-techno or something in HOTD.

Im not sure if I beleive him- but if he can make these upcoming movies as good as HOTD was bad, then I'll be happy. Personally, I think everything he touches turns to crap. First, you cannot make a movie from a light-scope first person shooter game. And I just think hes going to chop up any hopes of GOOD game-to-movie adaptations.

Anyone heard anything about him or something?

Okay, so, digging up an old thread...Either way, my loathing of Dr. Boll knows no bounds. If you've sat through either House of the Dead or Alone in the Dark...then you know.

Nice. IMDB has him attached to direct the Halo movie...I know Bungie stated that they would have a say as far as the director...so I can only hope that they were beyond wrong.

BTW the developer I was talking about was Konami and the game was Metal Gear Solid (in case it bugged anyone).

Okay, good. At least they had the balls to tell him no...in a manner of speaking. I do NOT want to see how he would have destroyed that one.

And last I heard, I think he was having difficulty finding a distributor for Bloodrayne..not that I'm to torn up about that.

No one has the right to touch Metal Gear besides Hideo Kojima. He's the only one that could make a movie about the game, well maybe even make the next installement into a movie instead of a game. That would be nice actually. I can't wait for MGS4 now that I've seen the videos for it.

Is Uwe Boll the one doing Hitman? Either way, I don't think that'll do well. "Ok, the main character is a bald, white guy, who should we get? I know! Vin Diesel!".

And Kojima even turned down a script by David Hayter himself, so it's not likely there'll be a MGS movie. But maybe that's a good thing.

No, he's proving that he can't make a good movie out of a videogame. Although I kinda liked HOTD, it made me laugh at the sheer stupidity. And from what I've heard, BloodRayne ain't that bad.
