View Full Version : Disney movies!

I felt the need to start this thread since I was watching Snow White in film class today (I LOVE FILM CLASS :D ). The movie was depressing but good nevertheless. I even developed a couple of video ideas out of it.

What do you think about the old school Disney movies (nothing computer animated). Lilo and Stitch at this point has been the last one made without digital animation.

Hope this topic wasn't talked about already. Used the search and didn't really come up with anything that was the same topic. If you find something that is mods, feel free to lock it.

i love disney movies - the old school ones ... when i was a kid, it was a mutual love affair. i loved them and they loved me. i still have all the original video cassettes from my 80s childhood that still work after the countless times i watched them and rewinded and fast-forwarded to my favorite parts. thank god for DVDs.

of the "old school" ones my favorite, far and away is Sleeping Beauty. i thought that it was just the coolest and the funniest of them all as a child. now i appreciate the dry humor more now, the artwork and the way the movie was scripted. watching the DVD behind the scenes footage on the movie is just breathtaking. the time and energy that went into making the film and how everyone who worked on it aimed for the biggest and best to date was amazing and it came out that way. and the music! direct from tchaikovsky (? i'm tired so that may be wrong, but the movie's score is the music used in the ballet sleeping beauty) - wow. i'm obsessed with how disney villians hold upto malificent. they just don't, out of their own movie context. she's the best villain evar, in or out of sleeping beauty. at least from disney movies.

i'm such a disney junkie.

sidenote - i think that since .... the rescuers down under or something they've been using computers to aid the animation and/or the animation process in all the animated films, tho i'm not sure.

I remember a Lilo & Stitch topic...

I saw them in school but don't remember them. The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Bambi, (almost typed Mario haha...for some odd reason), Fantasia?, Peter Pan, some movie with little fairies...if that ain't Fantasia....I don't know.

Okay I guess. Lilo & Stitch I got on DVD...good movie.

I love all of 'em though. I have Snow White on dvd too, but I think that's all. I really want to get The Lion King and Sleeping Beauty which came out recently. Yep.

Disney was pretty much my life when I was a kid; it was pretty pathetic. I obsessed over the movies, collected all the McDonald's toys, cosplayed the charactors in my back yard, and never missed a single episode of their disney afternoon segments. So their late eighties/early nineties films have a lot of memories for me and I love to watch them. Hunchback of Notre Dame was the last one I really enjoyed until Lilo & Stitch, I think. I'm kind of disappointed with where they're taking their movies... hopefully they redeem themselves in the next few years.

I love you Blue. I think Sleeping Beauty is one of my favorite. And Malificent is the greatest Disney villian ever...

Just the other weekend, my friend and I watched Sleeping Beauty together on DVD. I noticed about half way through the film...the Prince just stopped talking. When he was in the dungeons and Malificent came down he looked mad and you expect a normal person to say something, but he just kinda makes an angry face. And he never talked for the rest of the movie. I thought it was great and really funny *shrug* I'm weird. Bwahha. And from that point on the Prince never makes a sound... And I still can't believe Aurora (the best name ever) was supposed to be 15/16 in the film...hahaha.

But the movie is one of the best.

I still have all my Disney videos on tape too. *giggle*

My favorites are Beauty and the Beast (the ballroom/dancing scene is one of the greatest scenes...ever), Lion King, Aladdin, Lion King, Pocahontas, and The Little Mermaid because Ursula singing the song "poor unfortunate souls" is just great (funny and dark).

I loved Bell though, from Beauty and the Beast, she was defianetly my favorite main charachter girl of all the Disney movies. Plus she was like the only one that wasn't slutty (Aurora wasn't slutty, but she's not freaking 16! Hhaha, if 16 year old girls were comparing themselves to her, we'd all be really really depressed).

I love the Disney music though. Actually we drive around in my friends car...listening and singing to the Lion King soundtrack. We really want to pull up alongside a car blasting rap music, and blast our Lion King soundtrack, and rock out to it. :D

I could talk about Disney movies all day...I better stop.

I liked Mulan and Lilo and Stitch, of all the new ones.

Ooo, I forgot Mary Poppins. It may not be animated, or have the greatness of B&theB, or Sleeping Beauty, but I love Mary Poppins.

I refuse to have kids until I find Mary Poppins, and have her work for me. What? I'm serious.

And none of that, leaving when the wind changes crap. She'll work for me, until all my kids turn 18. Don't look at me like that, you know you all want Mary Poppins to raise your kid, or else you'll get a little delinquent who gets high with the lysol in your bathroom.

Hell, screw my kids...I want Mary Poppins to come and work for my parents, and raise me, dammit. :D

anyways..yeah, I still watch Disney movies ..some people think that its so lame..but what do I care? 2 of my favorites are Peter Pan and Pinochio (I KNOW that's spelled wrong :() I actually cried when I watched the Lion King recently..so sad. I think I cried at Brother Bear too (awesome).

And we ALWAYS have to play the Lion King Soundtrack when my niece (she's 2) is in the car...luckily it's hard to get tired of.

I have found a trend in disney movies, Many if not all people are without a parent! If they have both Its only for a short while and then one dies! Disney is perverted and will jump on any opportunity to put corrupt messages into childrens brains, and lastly, THEY rock my world!

i love disney movies. i watched the 'land before time' the other day. my favorite is 'snow white' i love dopey he's so cute. i also love 'an american tail' 'dumbo' and 'the rescuerers' i remember when i was little my fave was the 'rescuers down under' - i think that was what it was called- because it was set in australia.

Disney movies are awesome. I think between my mom, sister and I we have all of the released VHS ones. My mom made me a Malificent costume for Halloween one year and a crow outfit for my Cabbage Patch Kid to match. That was the best. She's made the yellow gown in Beauty and the Beast for my sister, as well as a Mulan costume. Next year she's going to make her the fairy in Perter Pan. My favorite movies are Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Aladdin, but they are all cute. I don't care for Dumbo much. That trippy pink elephant thing scared me when I was little.

Haha, if anyone likes video games and Disney, they should play Kingdom Hearts.

I bought it...one or two weeks ago? Well, through my progress so far in the game, I've met/seen a lot of Disney characters that remind me of old movies. Such as the evil...queen...thing...in Little Mermaid. The evil dude in Aladdin, Goofy, Donald, etc. Same with some Final Fantasy characters.

Unfortunately, I'm only at the Alice in Wonderland part in the game, as I haven't played it in about a week...been playing Smackdown

Yay. There's much love for B&TB .. I'm so happy, stupid thing to be happy about but I've never heard anyone say that was one of their favs.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this.. but I really like Prince of Egypt. I remember seeing that in theatres and being like 'wow..'. All disney movies rule, but a good 3/4 of them always make me cry, why must they put sad things in them, damn't.

Kingdom Hearts is awesome. The worlds weren't as big as I would like them to be, but I guess it's understandable. It's just fun seeing all those movies connected to one story and being able to explore the areas you saw in the movies. :D I can't wait for the next two.

in the stars? i thought it was in the dust when the lion jumps?

It's when the older Simba is all depressed, and looks up at the stars on this cliff/hill thing...he sighs, plops down, and the dust/grass that arises from when he plops down, says sex

I swear man... one of the towers on the gold castle is a big penis... you will be on the floor of wal-mart laughing

It's true. I'd post pictures...but I'm too lazy, and I don't feel that perverted right now.

My point exactly! And the aladdin says "good girls take of their clothes" when Jasmine is in her room and the tiger attacks him

My friends pointed that out to me. They made me get the movie out, just so they could point that scene out to me...

They've tainted all my disney movies, they told me about all 3 of those things...those dirty bastards.

Belle makes a cameo appearance in The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

What? No way... I'm going to rent that movie now and watch for her...

The Beast sports a tattoo in Beauty and the Beast.

I've never ever heard that before, or seen anything like it.. where do people think THAT shows up? (it says its undetermined, so prob no where...)

Aladdin tells teenagers to take off their clothes.

Everytime I watch that scene I can hear "take off your clothes" though ...

A minister becomes aroused during the wedding scene in The Little Mermaid.

My whole family put that part on slow motion to see if it was true, and alas, we did see something :P

-shrug- Maybe it's just our imaginations...

Disney movies make the best of my young childhood. The ones I watched over and over and over again would be Aladdin :D , The Lion King, and Beauty and the Beast. I cry during alot of the disney movies too...man...I'm a dork.

And Mulan...she's awesome! Lilo and Stitch was a pritty twisted but good disney movie, and Prince of Egypt was good too, I like Hercules too. Some people think it's cheesy when disney breaks out into songs....but I love the songs..most of them at least. :)

My "core" Disney movies (not necessarily in this order):

- Beauty and the Beast
- Little Mermaid
- Aladdin
- Lion King

I like a lot of the others, but those four are the only ones i feel the need to own on DVD (not counting the Pixar movies, of course, which were only _distributed_ by Disney). I'll be up to 3 out of 4 when Aladdin is released next year. :D Sadly, last i heard, Little Mermaid isn't scheduled for Imax/DVD release until like 2008.

Not a matter of trying - other than My Dog Skip, tears just wont come out in any kind of movie, even if I try. I do feel something when I see something emotional, but nothing comes out. :( The closest in a Disney movie - Toy Story 2 when Jessie tells her story of losing the girl who owned her. Sarah McLachlan singing over that was amazing - and I was so close... but still nothing!

My girlfriend is the opposite - cries in movies that aren't even sad! But shes so gorgeous when she cries! :D lol

Also, The Incredibles looks alright - not as ingenious as other Pixar efforts though!

Disney oldies are the best, but frankly the new ones kinda suck. they're trying too hard. Disney was so much better when it wasn't out of good ideas, before it started latching onto stupid ideas

(example: i don't know the name of the movie but the one that came out a few years back that was about the germs living inside the body...one of the main characters was a white blood cell...)

I still have all my Disney videos on tape too. *giggle*

mind u they have a point in a way. i cant think of one film where someone or sumthing aint killed, maimed, totally obliterated after a bloody good fight lol.

I LOVEd space jam when it first came out in like '95, i dunno, that year just appeals to me right now, but I liked that movie...even if it's not disney.

Another disney movie that liked is Peter Pan....and then Hook, I don't think Hook is disney tho...but it's one of my favorites from back then.

Yeah...that pisses me off too. Why do they just make a sequel for a great movie and just automatically send it to DVD/video? They must think it's really bad too.

same with The Little Mermaid II: Return to the sea

'Little Mermaid' and 'Lion King' are my all time favourites, but I also love 'The Tigger Movie' and 'Piglets Big movie'. I like any WTP movie because it's not so much comedy as it is most heartwarming and enriching

Pirates ruled, but another live action Disney movie that kicked ass as well was The Three Musketeers, with an awesome cast of Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, Oliver Platt, Tim Curry, Chris O'Donnell, Rebecca DeMornay and Michael Wincott... as for the animation ones, the oldies are the best... Snow White, Bambi, Jungle Book, Robin Hood, Lady and the Tramp, Beauty and the Beast etc...

Here's something if you didn't know already:

Pirates of the Caribbean made $19.5 million in rentals, in I think one week.

It sold 11 million copies too. Either in one week, or two...not sure...

Crazy...

And yeah, just tell everyone to put it on their list for you ;)

Oooh Disney! I want to join the Disney nerds! :D
I used to have nearly all of the 'classic' disney films....
I loved Lion King 1 & 2 (my sister is a HUGE fan-she's 16 :D ) Snow White (I had the sticker book  ), Sleeping Beauty, Dumbo, The Fox And The Hound, Bambi, The Little Mermaid.., theres loads!.
Space Jam just reminds me of when I was in the school plays years ago and we had to watch films until we could go on stage :D

My favourite scene from a Disney film is in Cinderella- when the animals are making her dress while she is sleeping-all the birds squirrels and those adorable little mice!! :D

Its funny reading these posts and noticing that most peope who post their love of these films are in to their 20's hahaha! ;)

When I think older Disney I think more heart-rending compationate storylines and characters. Now the focus seem to have shifted into a more comic, lively type feel to them. But I did like Finding Nemo, just not in the same way. The seem to be moving more out of the epic type storylines, and focusing more on a mass audience, with the comedy.

I was SO totally into Alddin when it came out that I had a big poster of the movie cover in my room and it was most certainly a big dick. There was no disputing it. I remember my senior year I brought in the Lion King, Little Mermaid and Aladdin to my US Government class so we could find the "controversial" parts. Like in the Little Mermaid where the preist has a hard on (so funny). We couldn't hear the "teenagers take off your clothes" or whatever part in Aladdin though.

Yes, yes....disney. Awh..what fond memories. Wait a minute...i watched a disney movie earlier today. Haa haa..disneys the shit! Anyways, my fav disney movie (there are so~~> many i love!) has ALWAYS been Beauty & The Beast. I identified w/ bell i think. People always tell me she is who i would be if we were in Disney movies. (its not speratic conversation..it's just brought up sometimes.) Its not like we run around to people and say "Hey, you look like So-and-So.." But anyways, that is my fav Disney movie. As far as "old School Disney", i would say Robinhood (where he's a fox) is a Great one. Hee hee..he was a hottie for a fox.
Speaking of "Old School Disney", does anyone remember watching a "Disney Christmas"? It was like, a compolation of hella old school Disney. Early Mickey Mouse and stuff like that. If anyone knows what im talking about, please help me elaberate. I'll figure out the specifics, and post again, mmm k?! 8)

And I really liked Sleeping Beauty but my mom taped over it with Regis and Kathy Lee . I loved all the others!! (I was SOOO scared of the witch in Snow White and I cried everytime I watched the Fox and the Hound!) :P

I wasnt to sure if I should've started a new thread for this, but heres some rather interesting info.

LOS ANGELES — Pixar Animation Studios is ending talks aimed at continuing its relationship with The Walt Disney Co. and will seek a deal with another studio, Pixar chief executive Steve Jobs said Thursday.

Pixar, which co-produced last year's top-box office draw, "Finding Nemo," said it will look for an agreement that allows it to retain ownership of future movies.

Under Pixar's current deal with Disney, the two companies share box office receipts and licensing revenues while Disney retains the right to make sequels to movies such as "Toy Story" and "Monsters Inc."

"After 10 months of trying to strike a deal with Disney, we're moving on," Jobs said in a prepared statement. "We've had a great run together -- one of the most successful in Hollywood history-- and it's a shame that Disney won't be participating in Pixar's future successes."

Pixar has two movies yet to deliver under its current Disney deal, including "The Incredibles," due in theaters in November, and "Cars," which will be released next year.

it's a shame that disney is being run into the ground. no mo' pixar/disney collaborations?? *boo*

recently, michael eisner let go either a huge chunk of the florida animation department or they closed down the entire complex - the florida site does the feature films (the ones that go to theaters). (i can't remember the details)

something you hardcore disney fans might want to check out: www.savedisney.com - sign petitions for new disney management and see what exactly is going on inside the disney company, why former and current employees put together this site.

I still protest that there will never be any disney movie greater than "THE LION KING!!!" :D I fall in love with that movie every time I watch it. almost 5 or 6 months after buying Pirates, i finally watched it last week. good movie.

what is it with guys being insecure about buying disney dvds? i was talking with someone about this in aol earlier tonight. every time i'm at Best Buy or somethin, i'm lookin around, and if no one's there, i'm all "whoo time to go look at the family dvds/anime" (ok, so anime is an exception)...last week i was at the mall with a friend and was going to the disney store till he ditched me and said "we'll meet up later man.." sheesh.

anyways, The Lion King and The Emperor's New Groove. these two movies look great...has anyone else seen them? well, for me, i saw The Lion King when it came out in theaters with a friend but i don't remember anything (what was it, 94?)..Emperor's New Groove I've never seen but want to. i asked someone about the two movies and she said they're great movies, so i'll go with her word. i'm probably going to be pickin up these 2 DVDs tomorrow along with the Malcolm X one (Denzel..)...disney has some of the best shit out there...the Aladdin DVD is coming out this October. the week that comes out i'ma cop it :D

My favorite old school was Bambi. Poor Bambi's mother was shot and how they showed the sequence without actually showing anything was brilliant.

I love the old disney movies too death. On a weekend my sisters and I were either watching Indiana Jones/Back to the Future/Star Wars or Disney movies.

I do like the newer ones though, would Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid be classed as newer ones?

Mulan was great, the Lion King was awesome, but after that disney lost the plot. Lilo and Stitch sort of put them back on my list of "great cartoons" but Brother Bear? Really, old storylines redone, I hated it.

Disney movies = Best. Movies. EvAr.

No, seriously! The thing that I really like about them is that they not only have kid humor but they have adult humor too lol.

Let's see...my old favorites? Hmm...

Snow White was a big one. I used to reenact that whole movie in my room...by myself, narrating out the parts aloud in a poufy dress-up dress *blush*

I used to reenact Cinderella with my Barbie dolls. *uberblush* lol.

Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Pocahontas...big ones as well.

I think that Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King are among the best Disney movies.

The old movies r0x0rs, but I think that they've done excellent work with the computer-animated ones. Monsters, Inc, Toy Story (1 and 2), Shrek...those movies made me laugh. My. Ass. Off. The street scene in Toy Story...the whole idea of Shrek...the "Kitty!" stuff in Monsters...that is FUNNY stuff.

Gotta love Disney :D *goes off to hunt through her old movies to see if she still has her old favorites*

*sigh* Disney... A lot of good memories...

I've not seen a lot of Disney films but I did the book's collection.

My fave movie is The Beauty and The Beast. How I cried at the cinema! :p

I have always like Snow White (no.. no... before all of this). I played as Snow White at a school thing and I cried of hapiness. Duh...

And Bambi is a classic... Never forgotten.

I got to play Snow White in a school play, too. I've always loved that movie but my favorite would probably have to be The Little Mermaid. When I was little I wanted to be Ariel so bad.

Beauty and the Beast. It rules you all! But I also love the classics - Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and Aladdin. They just don't make them as good as that anymore... An exception being Pirates of the Caribbean *bows down to the sexiness of Orlando and Johnny* :D haha

I think my favorite old school Disney movie is the Cinderella. It's nice to watch an actual movie without all the computer animated stuff occasionally. I really enjoyed Toy Story, too. That was my favorite Disney movie for a long time... but then I watched Shrek heeee heeee heee. :p

Not to sound like some advertising agency or anything T_T but Disney's having a summer clearance and it's like 50% off everything at Disney stores. Including movies too I think!

I ended up getting this plush Stitch for $7.99...not bad at all :D I felt weird goin in the store tho cause I had my headphones on, wearing a black Ecko shirt, black baggy jeans, some other "accessories"..oy. Didn't check the DVD section, I went straight to the stuffed toys section..but I'm going back tomorrow morning and hopefully the DVDs are on sale too :)

Techically yes, their contract will be fullfilled with the release of "The Incredibles" and "Cars". Personally I think I'm more glad that they're out from under Disney....there hasnt been anything really spectacular from them (Disney) for quite a while.

Has anyone heard of those Disney Treasures DVDs? I just went to Wal-Mart and picked up the Donald Duck one. It's really weird, and old but in color.

They have a WWII one which I wish I had picked up instead of this one since it's a bit BORING T_T but yea, the WWII was one quite interesting at times (I've seen footage of it on VHS a long time ago, in history class in high school)

All these "limited edition" DVDs

These are actually produced in small quantities...there's a Mickey Mouse Volume 1, Donald Duck Volume 1, etc. and they're all produced with like 200,000 copies or so. Interesting stuff for those die hard old school Disney fans.

Yeah, I kinda think pixar hitting the road is a good thing too. I'm just upset as hell that anyone would try to make a Toy Story 3 without pixar, and that they've closed out their animation department in florida to get people from other countries. How can you do that? I love I guess what you would call old school disney-my favorite would be Beauty and the Beast(you don't know how the people at suncoast video looked at me for reserving the dvd a month ahead), and the last one I saw that I really liked was Lilo and Stitch. And the last time I saw a animated film of theirs in the theaters was Treasure Planet-it so totally ripped off Titan A.E in the way that it was drawn-but the disappointing moment was when my little brother(who wanted to see it so badly in the first place) turned to me and said "this sucks, can we go home now?" The movie wasn't even half over.(isn't their target audience a child?) Don't get me started on the sequels(besides Toy Story 2), either, because there hasn't been one that I haven't wanted to pick out my eyeballs after ward. Now, their live action movies have been ok, I think they could have done a much better job with the Haunted Mansion film(added a lot more characters and so on and so forth) . I miss the good ol days of disney. I guess it would depend on how old you were or how able you were to remember, but I remember when they used to re release all the disney films into the theaters-so I have great memories of watching Peter Pan, Bambi, Cinderella, all that stuff there.I wish they'd do that again, but they won't.

YES! I'm so glad there was a thread dedicated to Disney movies. Since I've come back from Disney World, I've had an obsession with the old school disney movies.

My favorite Disney movie is Aladdin. I love Jasmine, she's my fave princess.
Second fave movie is Beauty and the Beast, because I love Bell'es character. She's very smart and outspoken from the rest.

Anyone else going to pick up the Aladdin DVD today? It's $15.99 at Best Buy (I think Circuit City too) the first week (till Sunday).

At fye it's $12.99 with a $7 rebate, but the mail-in rebates take FOREVER to send. The last time I bought Chris Benoit's DVD it took about 2 months for the rebate ($5) to come through.

There's also a special edition box for $39.99 (or $34.99 depending where you go)..I forgot what's in it but shit, I'll just go with the $20 version (or $16...or $13...I think I'll probably just go with Best Buy unless I make a stop at fye tomorrow, which I probably...will actually)

Anyways, it's going to be nice. I haven't seen the movie since around when it came out so I'll be sure to enjoy it. Unfortunately I saw a trailer preview for the DVD yesterday and when it showed a certain black genie I suddenly remembered almost exactly what happened at the end of the movie T_T befo seeing it I hadn't a clue what the movie was about really. Just one image and I remember it all

^ that shit is expensive as hell oO I think I saw it in a commercial befo.

I picked up the Aladdin DVD today for $15.99 at Best Buy. An employee came up to me and handed me this stuffed monkey and I didn't say a word cause the whole time my mind was like, "What the fuck?..." till he was like, "You get this free with the DVD." I was still in the "Huh??" thinkin mode so I didn't say thanks I don't think. Oops. But yeah, that was pretty cool. The only thing that sucked is I had to wait awhile cause they had to check my bill to see if it was fake or not cause it was higher than the usual amounts or somethin I guess. And I heard Papa Roach's new single in the store, that shit is nice. I didn't even know he had another album out.

I really think, if I don't make any effort, that I can beat my previous record of buying Pirates of the Caribbean the week it was released, and not watching it till over 6 months later oO I've had Malcolm X on DVD and I'm Bout It and Da Last Don for maybe 4 months by now and still haven't watched either, oddly. You know what's really funny? How we're all way past the little-kid stage but we're all like 'yeah! disney movies!' lol. But they PWN.

And I wouldn't say that the new ones are bad. The Pixar ones (Toy Story 1 and 2, Bugs Life, Finding Nemo, etc) RULED. Those are the greatest movies LOL.

Disney started going downhill after the Lion King, imo. I'll hold on to that assessment until I witness another movie that is just as good as the ones from that era or prior.

I really don't consider the new pixar ones Disney. They are just distributed by Disney, but the creators belong to another company.

New disney movies suck... (with the exception of Finding Nemo)... I think that they should try to go back to the old roots of Disney's magic and produce a full-length cartoon animation based off of an old fairy tale. My old favorites have to be Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Snow White, etc. etc.

I thought The Emperor's New Groove was uber funny. But I doubt Kronk's New Groove will be.

I watched The Emperor's New Groove a couple years ago, with a couple cousins (now 11 and 9) both loved it... I thought it was funny, but not great.

A lot of the new animated movies in general aren't as good as the old ones (AAT, Alice in Wonderland, Lion King,..) most new ones are just... boring... or silly... just random jokes and boring characters...

There are exceptions... I mean, we're talking about Disney... every Disney movie (that I've seen, at least) has had SOMETHING decent about it... a joke, or a character.. something.

Ah, well. we'll just have to wait for their new movies to come out, and hope for the best!^^

New disney movies suck... (with the exception of Finding Nemo)... I think that they should try to go back to the old roots of Disney's magic and produce a full-length cartoon animation based off of an old fairy tale. My old favorites have to be Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Snow White, etc. etc.
I agree, good old cartoons are great!! Actually, doubt they will ever go back to them, they've even closed animation studios.

Ohh, you think so? It seems that I prefer the new ones, lol! I never much liked Snow White or Sleeping Beauty... indeed, Cinderella too.

I think they should do one on Hansel and Gretl only make it less evil!!

Does anyone else have any Disney cds? My sister has the Ultimate Disney one (3 cds) and I have the Disney Princesses one that I copied from a friend, all the classic princess songs, I loooooove it!!! :D:D I recently saw a Disney Villains CD :p

Some of the things there are: I Won't Say (I'm In Love) from Hercules (one of my favourites definately!!!!), Kiss the Girl and Part of Your World (the Little Mermaid), Can You Feel the Love Tonight (Lion King), Once Upon A Dream (Sleeping Beauty), Colours of the Wind & Just Around the Riverbend (Pocahontas), various ones from others like Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella...

Colours of the Wind is my most favourite Disney song :D

I think that's the one we've got. My favourites are Reflection from Mulan and Where The People Are from The Little Mermaid. Although, all the songs from Pocahontas are so catchy I can't help but sing-along.

Does anyone remember the latest Disney animated movie?

Remember "Home on the Range"?

That was NOT a Disney feeling movie. It was a nice movie, but not Disney-esque. I was very disappointed, it's sad really.

One disney movie that is totally awesome, except no one will ever get to see is Song of the South. I'm not sure how I came across with watching this movie when I was a child. The last viewing was before I was born. It may have been because we spent some time in germany and it was released over there. I called Disney Studios one time in the mid 90's inquiring about the movie. They said that it would never be released in the states because it was considered too "racial". I dunno, it may have, but it is a good movie none the less.

I love the old Disney movies. They were the shiznit. All the new movies are so just boring because they're the same pretty much. I absolutely love The Little Mermaid.

The song Airel sings when she is in the cave with all her stuff from above the sea is such an awesome song!
