I don't get all this townie shit and why people seem to be prejudiced against people who as far as I can see just wear baseball caps, have loud voices, and like to hang out on the streets.

oh i get you. a townie is an indavidual who is influenced by a certain thing just like mosher or goth. when were talking anout townies they are influenced by mostly gangsta movies, hip hop music, guns and for some reason socks that go over ankle hight lol. they are influenced by these things and some of these things affect how they act and in most cases of townies it ends up in violence and it really pisses me off how you see 'youths' on the news spoiling everything. thats what bugs me. youth townies. it also pisses me off how im a youth and on the news they class townies as youths. oh well

Razorlight are ok but i wouldn't buy there album aside from them i don't like anyone on that tour so i won't be going

Not every townie is a complete asshole.

If you just show a bit of decency to them some of them tend to be alright with you back. Sure there will always be the assholes who try and stab you on the bus or whatever but it won't help if you're judging or starting shit with them in the first place.

I think you mean rude boys/ girls.... townies are sometimes nice they just dress different. Maybe i just call them something different, cha, i still think you are wrong to say "townie shit" on a thread all about the dude, thats like me (which would never happen) going on the seether thread and saying there shite! Dont judge people by there music, itll just get u into trouble, judge em by there personality or something less shallow. Now I dont like an arguement ;-) but calm down people! Townies could say the same about us, that evanescece infulences us and makes us all dress in black and be miserable etc, but thats ridiculous, it works both ways. Its also like that manhunt game thing, the game didnt make the kid stab someone, the same as Dizzee Rascal doesnt make peoples into townies. Its just how people are and when you grow up, you tend to not steer away from these 'gangs', you shouldnt judge people on their choice of music. Personally I think Dizzee is a talent, I like stand up tall.
