I have some speakers that I'd like to connect to my PC, so that I don't have to use my rather poor computer speakers any more, since I want decent quality sound for a change. The question is, how do I connect these speakers to my PC? I have a CD Player, if they need to go through that, but I'm just wondering how it'd work. The speakers are Denon, and they don't have a power socket connected to them, so they'd have to go through my CD Player I presume?
One method I thought of, which probably won't work, is cutting my PC speaker wire that goes into the audio port, attaching the cut end into the microphone port of the CD Player, and then playing my PC's audio through the CD Player, and into the speakers. But, I'm guessing that's a no-no?
Just any help would be great.
If anyone wants to add their own questions and make this a general electrical or computer help topic, that's fine, but I really need some help here...
Thanks.
