OK...I've just had a look through and there are no Threads for Essex - virtually the only place not mentioned!

I was just wondering if there was anyone here who lives or has lived in Essex? (As glamourous as it is...)

I've realised thatvery few people are into Evanescence, or even rock :eek: ....Most people here are "rude boys" ( :mad: ) and go for RnB and stuff like that...


And no! I'm not an Essex boy!

i'm from essex. i don't know anyone else who likes ev here. that's why i went to wembley on my own. and i noticed the rnb stuff... ho hum.

I'm in Essex, on the Hertfordshire border (next to the Beckhams).

My town is relatively 'alternative' friendly - we have our own local venue, that can fit about 350 people. It's been running for 20-30yrs now, so it's well-established and known. I think it's good that the council gives young people here the opportunity to see bands live and learn instruments - we've had bands like Muse, Oasis, Blur, Catatonia, Feeder, and loads of others play there over the years. :D

i'm from essex! i went to the wembley concert wiv my dad, i kno it's lame but actually he's kinda kewl. a proper cockney.

there r tons of people in our school that listen to rock, we'r called the 'grungers' but the trendy/popular ones.

I know loads of people from Essex who are into rock, so dont worry your not alone!! Many like Evanescence too! Just stay away from the townies tho, they arent worth anyones time!

I know a few people from Essex it is mostlky full of rudeboys and muppets but there are a fair few rock fans. Southend has quite a few

I live in Surrey (South west london) but essex isnt too far off. About an hour on the train i guess.

i live in basildon (well laindon really) there are loads of rudeboys round here me and some of my friends like rock music (me, Ben, Paul) David is a grunger and Kaz (my best friends friend) is a goth but most of the people in my school are fools who smoke dope and listen to RnB. Me and some of my mate are hoping to go to the concert in november but it might be on a school day so we wont be able to go. If next year they do a concert then i will go and if none of my mates can then my Dad will (my dad is really cool).
